Read what parents are saying about Miller Magnet Middle SchoolI am a parent of a current middle school and a student who has graduated from Miller. Both of my children have had positive experiences at Miller. The administration is enthusiastic and supportive. The teachers are great and do a good job of keeping a disciplined and productive environment while still being warm and nurturing. My children have been involved in extracurricular activities led by creative and dedicated teachers. Both of my children have done well on their state testing while at Miller and have impressed me with the things they've learned.
Posted by a parent on 12/29/2019I went to Miller Magnet Middle School from the 6th grade to the 7th grade and honestly, Miller can be both a good school, and a bad school. I was in gifted so therefore I only really experienced the good the majority of the time, but over the span of two school years, I've seen at the most probably 5 petty little fights happen between students, but nothing major. The academics at Miller are good for the most part, and the teachers are great, but it's some select students who can put a bad impression on Miller that make the school sound drastic or terrible. Now, when I started going there, it was not only my first year there, but also Dr. Flagg's. Now to be honest, I didn't really like her as a principle, nor did anyone else, but she did a good job of running the place. Of course, a few things were changed, but they were for the better. Don't believe what people tell you about Miller, but instead go see it for yourself because it's truly a good school.
Posted by a community member on 2/1/2014Unlike many schools Miller is by far one of the best. With the new leader Dr. Flagg, The school as improved so much. Dr. Flagg and the 2 other admins, office staff, teachers, and everything else has made this school a true place to learn. The staff and teachers are very nice and are always ready to help. Miller has recently brought some new technology such as some Netbooks for lab, with those and the teacher technology carts, students are more in to lessons. Miller's Fine Arts department is just amazing, these students are enjoying what they do best. Miller Fine Arts Magnet Middle School is the best school any child could go to. Dr. Kilcrease, Dr. Flagg, Dr. Jones and Mr. Smith is/ has been doing a great job with the school. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! [ And by the way the phone number is 478-779-4050 and the New fax is on the website. And to add alot of the teachers keep updates on there personal websites for students and parents.]
Posted by a community member on 4/17/2011Bleh what can you expect out of a Bibb co. public school? Maybe the teachers and faculty should pay more attention to their students- just maybe- and it'd have been a much better experience. Especially when Kilcrease was there.
Posted by a community member on 12/13/2010MILLER MAGNET IS NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO BE A GOOD MAGNET SCHOOL AS VINEVILLE ACADEMY. THE STAFF THERE ARE NOT FRIENDLY AND SEEM TO BE RACIALLY BIASE. I HAVE CALLED AND WRITTEN SEVERAL TIMES TO MY CHILD'S TEACHER AND NOT ONCE GOT A REPLY. I THINK THE SCHOOL COULD USE A GOOD CLEAN OUT AND DO SOME REHIRING OF CARING TEACHERS AND STAFF. A FEW BAD APPLES HAVE RUINED THAT SCHOOL. NEW FOLKS MAY GIVE A NEW HEART BEAT,..

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am at the close of 9 years of being a Panda parent. 3 very different kids all went to Vineville K-5 nd each had a different wonderful experience. My oldest (male) excelled at visual art and was encouraged to pursue his talents. He was also in the gifted program and was really challenged to be organized and disciplined. Most years his teachers relished his "boy" behavoir and found creative ways to redirct him and use his mischeviousness as a teaching tool. My second (female) had real struggles in learning. She recieved individualized attention--long before she was on an IEP--and discipline was handled very fairly with her. My youngest (female) is the mean student in testing and simply thrived in everyway at Vineville. She made great friends, discovered talents in visual art and drama, and had teachers she adored and who adored her. I know no school is perfect and Vineville is not either but we had an incredible experience there for 9 years. I wish every school was Vineville.Parent Review4y ago - Progressive Christian Academy
