Read what parents are saying about Chapel Hill Middle SchoolThis school is so bad they don’t know how to teach the school smells like dead roaches all the time and a dead body i would not advise u to go to this school I’ve been there as a parent to help my son put it was not worth it
Posted by a parent on 5/25/2023I just wish the teachers were a little more respectful.
Posted by a parent on 5/8/2023Most teachers here are rude, disrespectful, and disruptive...I'd say the same about students. The cafeteria also does not always provide a balanced meal. A few times I have ONLY gotten the main thing (sloppy joe, hotdogs, etc.) WITHOUT a fruit/veggie or milk BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE MAIN FOOD!
Posted by a student on 5/1/2023This is not a good school at all. Im so disappointed to say that this is a school choice lottery based school. I expected more from the teachers, more from the counselors and more from the principal. The teachers there are rude and disrespectful to the kids and parents. Some refer to the kids as bruh and dude as if the kids are their peers. I had an experience where I witnessed the 8th grade female counselor ask my child what he wanted to do in a taunting manner. When I addressed it with the principal she told me she was gonna check the cameras only to call back to say they didnt work. My child was also recommended for a 504 plan. When i spoke with his teachers about the accommodations he would need they tried to convince me there was nothing wrong with my child but continued to fail him all year. I would not recommend this school if you are looking for a theme school or high achievers school with teachers that care. I just knew I didn't want my child at cedar grove or Salem. I guess everyones experience is different so hopefully the next child will have a better one than I had.
Posted by a parent on 6/29/2022Teachers are very relatable (some). Most teachers have bad attitudes towards the children. The school doesn't give homework often which is very good, I don't believe homework helps the students because most of the students tend to cheat at home.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince kindergarten my kids experience here has been amazing! I believe that A LOT of the negative things that are being said about this school are based on "beliefs " and the past. This school is being stereotyped as poor and low test scores because of the "area". The teachers here have been amazing! I'm glad my kids go to Bob Mathis.Parent Review5mo ago - Chapel Hill Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageObviously one of the best elementary school my son has been in.. E.L.Miller Elementary school was his worst the teachers obviously were passing 1st graders who actually didn’t learn nothing..therefore my son got kept back the following year. So after that year of 1st for the 2nd time ..I moved by Chapel hill and the Teachers were awesome especially Mrs.Nelson she was a kool 2nd grade teacher along with Ms.Hadley and the 2nd grade crew. He passed. Now we at 3rd grade at Chapel hill and once again, big thanks to Mrs.Nelson and the 3rd grade crew (my son had Mrs.Nelson for (2nd &3rd).. he passed now this year 4th grade virtually and hybrid and I still give them a 100 for being involved and helping my son along with other kids! I give this school 4-5 stars keep it up!Parent Review3y ago - Rainbow Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school needs a complete administrative overhaul. The teachers try to do the best they can with what little resources they have. Students are always told to be silent at lunch as if they're being programmed for prison. As parents, we can almost never prepare for upcoming events because we're almost always being told at the very last minute. But, being honest, most South DeKalb schools are the same exact way. Hopefully things will change for the better in the near future.Parent Review8mo ago - Edward L. Bouie- Sr. Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAnointed Word Christian Schools International and Miracle Early Learning Center is the best school in the state in my opinion. The teachers make sure that you don't slack off; they don't play any games. The students are wonderful and there is no bullying whatsoever. Not only do you learn academics, you go through so many performances throughout the year and extracurricular activities, like self defense, art, and dance. The best thing is that everything at the school is protected by the blood of Jesus Christ. The school is really one big family. Spectacular school to go to! Love them!Student Review7y ago - Love Thy Children Child Care
