I believe that A LOT of the negative things that are being said about this school are based on "beliefs " and the past. This school is being stereotyped as poor and low test scores because of the "area". The teachers here have been amazing

The administration, faculty, and staff all impressed me, and I am grateful to them. The school is located in a beautiful little enclave of Decatur, and having it near my home has been a blessing. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school 8 years ago when I was in the 5th grade. I felt very unsafe, I felt like everyone treated me differently from the other students because of my skin color and my condition that I have. Everyone was rude and disrespectful towards me. I was too young to realize it at the time but as I got older I realized and remembered how badly everyone treated me, I never returned to that school after my first year attending 5th grade there, I ended up transferring to another state and another school and not wanting to attend that school ever again in my life. Also when I attended that school teachers admitted to my face that they didn't like me at all, and I don't know if it was because of my HDHD, my skin color, or how I behaved but I know that I was a loving and caring little girl who wanted to be nice and be friends with everyone.
