Read what parents are saying about The Suzuki SchoolThere seems to be a frequent turnaround of teachers, or substitutes filling in. The teachers for the most part are caring and communicate well. Incidents are not well handled. And we haven’t had positive experiences in communication with the administration. Not all sites may be the same. But we would not recommend.
Posted by a parent on 7/27/2023My family attended the Suzuki School for roughly three years and my daughter was in Level II. I can't speak highly enough of this school. The classrooms were very welcoming at each level. I've read some of the negative reviews on here and was shocked by how little the reviewers seemed to understand about the school because I have never teachers and professionals as dedicated to the growth of the child as I've seen at Suzuki. I was skeptical at first about Montessori and what it is, but after seeing it in action at their Buckhead campus, I am surprised more schools don't do this!
Posted by a parent on 4/13/2016Teachers are smart and mean well but I question the administration. I had 2 children go through and pulled our 2nd out mid-way through. School is lacking in identifying and facilitating therapy for even the most mild of delays in child development.-Parent

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had two students go through GHES, one K-5th and one Prek-5th. Both of my kids had a fantastic experience here. My oldest is now a senior and doing great. My youngest is in middle school and excelling. The youngest got to do the Spanish DLI program, and she has learned so much! If you have concerns, go tour the school. I don't believe 5/10 is an accurate representation of this beautiful learning community.Parent Review7mo ago - Rivers Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have two children at E. Rivers and a third attending next year. It is a fabulous school, with an excellent and committed principal and extremely supportive community. Most importantly, kids enjoy and look forward to school and feel safe and supported. As parents, we do not have to worry about our kids; they are cared for, nurtured, and getting prepared for their bright futures. The curriculum is balanced and develops the "whole child," encouraging not just academic achievement but developing well rounded kids. This is an A+ school.Parent Review1mo ago - Woodward Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCarlisle Montessori School (CMS) is an excellent school! Both my daughter and son attended from age 2 and graduated out of the primary program at around age 6. To be perfectly honest, we were unfamiliar with Montessori education, and I didn't truly appreciate CMS until we left for a little over a year with our son. We pulled him out when our daughter graduated from CMS so that he could be at the same elementary school as his older sister. We saw firsthand how a preschool operated in a traditional private school and how little our son was benefiting from the education there compared to CMS.Fortunately, we were able to re-enroll him at CMS and within months of returning not only did he learn a tremendous amount, but his confidence, executive functioning and independence grew! These developments are what make CMS special because although our children have different strengths and personalities, they both thrived there. I just never realized how much of it was the school versus the child until this experience. Through my experience, I learned that at typical Montessori schools, the teachers believe the child’s potential is the greatest during the first 6 years of life while traditional schools believe it's the high school/college years. Therefore, early education is not as emphasized in traditional preschools. Whereas AMI certified teachers are trained to optimize a child's development and growth when the child's brain develops rapidly in the first six years of life (Montessori calls this period the absorbent mind). Montessori education also does a fantastic job identifying a child's strengths, inner passion and teaching leadership skills through the mixed-age environment. When children graduate from CMS' 3 year primary program, they take this confidence, love for learning, leadership skills, social emotional skills and an incredibly solid academic foundation (reading/writing in cursive/print, math facts (+, - , /, *), fractions, science, geography, astronomy, world culture, music etc.) with them for the rest of their lives. CMS holds a very special place in my heart because of how well they treated our children when they were so young and innocent. My children absolutely loved going to school and the teachers were so kind and loving. This school was like a second home and we made great friends during our time there. An education like CMS will take your child far in life. I highly recommend this school!Parent Review11mo ago
