My son has experience teacher misconduct and a disregard of his IEP needs. Do Not Send Your Child Here. Staff is unprofessional and lacks emotional intelligence.
Posted by a parent on 1/14/2026My son is only in Pre-K, but I am very grateful for this school. There is always something going on to keep parents engaged. There are always performances. My son has went on several field trips and love both his teachers Mrs. Alexander and Mrs Parker.
Posted by a parent on 2/28/2025Overall, we are pleased with Deerwood from Ms. Perry and her team, to the teachers we have had for the past 5 years. Our son has shown growth each year in his academics, in his social, and emotional learning, and he is well-prepared for middle school.
Posted by a parent on 7/18/2017Please find another place for your child if you can by all means , buy a home in another location. Sent my son her for Pre-K teacher was the worst. As these kids are in a early development stage they do not want to take the time and actually TEACH the kids. The teacher refused to communicate with me
Posted by a community member on 11/6/2016I enrolled my son in KG last year 2015 and it was a horrible first experience from the Administrators front office stand point. Registration was a nightmare and Ms. Morrison was so rude to me. The sad thing is my son was so excited about starting big boy school and she ruined that experience for him

The students can be disrespectful and even abusive, making it difficult for educators to do their jobs effectively. Unfortunately, the administration does not offer much support.The principal lacks compassion and does not foster a supportive atmosphere for staff or students. She seems detached from the school community, to the point where many students don’t even recognize her as the principal—they assume Mr. Gomillion is in charge instead. Favoritism is also a major issue, as certain staff members receive preferential treatment while others are left to struggle.Overall, this school needs major improvements in leadership, student behavior management, and teacher support. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePARENTS BEWARE! My 4 year old daughter is still talking about how Robert Davis ( a 20 year daycare teacher) touched her in her private area! When it was brought to the administration, they were below level concerned. I did go to the authorities, and a paper trail was initiated. No further action was taken.
