My child was in a MOID classroom setting K-2 at this school. If your child needs extra help this is definitely not the school for you. The classroom needs to be ran more efficiently, and understand that school is a learning environment not a place to encourage a child to go to sleep instead of learn

Posted by a parent on 1/14/2026My son is only in Pre-K, but I am very grateful for this school. There is always something going on to keep parents engaged. There are always performances. My son has went on several field trips and love both his teachers Mrs. Alexander and Mrs Parker.
Posted by a parent on 2/28/2025Overall, we are pleased with Deerwood from Ms. Perry and her team, to the teachers we have had for the past 5 years. Our son has shown growth each year in his academics, in his social, and emotional learning, and he is well-prepared for middle school.
Posted by a parent on 7/18/2017Please find another place for your child if you can by all means , buy a home in another location. Sent my son her for Pre-K teacher was the worst. As these kids are in a early development stage they do not want to take the time and actually TEACH the kids. The teacher refused to communicate with me

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI honestly would not recommend this school to any parent. Based on our experience, it's been incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Communication is lacking, and ClassDojo is rarely updated, leaving parents in the dark about what's happening in the classroom.Academically, I expected so much more. There doesn't seem to be much emphasis on homework, projects, or activities that really challenge the students or keep parents involved in their learning. I also have concerns about how behavior issues are handled. Every child deserves to feel safe and supported at school, and I believe schools should take concerns seriously and communicate clearly with families.The school itself feels outdated. The building and classrooms look like they haven't been updated in years, and it doesn't give the impression that much is being invested in creating a welcoming learning environment.What disappoints me the most is the overall lack of communication and transparency. Parents shouldn't have to guess what's going on in their child's classroom or constantly chase updates. Families deserve a school that keeps them informed, values education, and strives for excellence. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePARENTS BEWARE! My 4 year old daughter is still talking about how Robert Davis ( a 20 year daycare teacher) touched her in her private area! When it was brought to the administration, they were below level concerned. I did go to the authorities, and a paper trail was initiated. No further action was taken.
