There's a lot of unaddressed bullying in this school. The children who hit and hurt others have no consequences, except for a call home.No follow up with the bullies, they just keep bullying the next child. Concerns are not taken seriously. Some of the teachers will openly speak negatively about their class or children to other parents; as a previous teacher, this should never be happening. It's apparent where the bullying & stress is stemming from. It's is a high stress environment, teachers are not sincere or welcoming.

Our family has had a wonderful experience at LWE. The teachers (and all staff members) are truly the best part of the school — every single one is kind, caring, and genuinely invested in the students. My kids not only love their classroom teachers, but they have also built trusting relationships with so many other teachers and staff members throughout the school.The academics are strong, and we have always felt that our children are being challenged and supported. Safety protocols are top-notch, which gives us great peace of mind as parents.Communication from the school is excellent. We are always informed about upcoming events, important updates, and anything else we need to know in a timely manner. They also offer great after-school options, which has been such a huge benefit for our family.Overall, Lake Windward Elementary has been an amazing school community for our family, and we are so grateful for the caring teachers, strong academics, and supportive environment.

We’ve had a really positive experience at this school. The teachers are supportive and clearly care about their students, and you can tell they put a lot of thought into their lessons. Our child has grown both academically and socially, which has been great to see. The school does a nice job building a welcoming environment where kids feel comfortable and excited to learn. We also appreciate how the staff keeps families informed and involved. Most importantly, our child feels safe and happy here every day, and that means everything to us.

Our family's experience at Mount Pisgah was deeply disappointing. As the parent of an African American boy, I did not feel that my son was consistently supported, valued, or treated with the level of care and fairness that we expected from a Christian school.Over time, I became concerned that his educational and emotional wellbeing was not being prioritized. Rather than feeling encouraged, he left the school struggling with the emotional impact of his experience. As a parent, there is nothing more difficult than watching your child lose confidence in an environment that should help them grow.I also found the administrative process to be frustrating. Matters that should have been straightforward required repeated follow up, and I often felt that my concerns were not addressed in a timely or meaningful way.Based on my family's experience, I would encourage African American families particularly those with African American boys to ask detailed questions about the school's culture, support systems, and how concerns are handled before making an enrollment decision. Every family's experience may be different, but ours did not reflect the inclusive, Christ-centered environment we were hoping to find.I sincerely hope Mount Pisgah takes the opportunity to reflect on the experiences of minority families and continues working toward ensuring that every student feels seen, respected, and genuinely supported.
