Northwestern Middle School

Most of the learning seems like it is taking place online. Outside reading does not seem to be encouraged but a lot of I-ready passages with answering questions.Material learned is not relevant to student's life. There needs to be more hands on learning in science.My child did love school but now refers to it as a "prison".

My son is currently attending Pre-K with an IEP for speech delay. He loves the school, the teachers really care, and we feel like it was a good match for us.

As a parent of 3, I’m in my 7th year at HSES. Every year has been a good experience. The teachers are wonderful and love what they do. The environment is welcoming and engaging. They do a great job supporting different learners, different backgrounds, etc. There is a diverse mix here, and my kids are better for it.

Three of our children have attended Crabapple Montessori, including one currently in the Primary program. I could not recommend this school more! The Montessori model teaches independence and curiosity in learning, while also meeting the child where they are and allowing them to work at their own pace. Our children have all been high performers and advanced, and they've been able to be thoroughly challenged throughout all their years at CMS. Our two oldest have seamlessly integrated into a more traditional elementary school after completing Montessori Primary at CMS with an AMAZING foundation of knowledge. We can't thank CMS enough for everything they do! Highly, highly recommend.
