My overall experience was that it was a waste of time. I was bullied to the point of having to drop out. You do the math.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMost of the staff that I have encountered is great. Very helpful and have good energy. I have a student that is in the general population but is diagnosed with ADHD as well as mild autism. He was on a sibling transfer that got revoked due to his misbehaving. A letter and an email was sent out to let me know I had 5 days to transfer my student. I never received an email because it was typed wrong and till this say haven't received the letter stating this. When called by the school to pick my son up, who by the way gets transportation provided because of the distance, I told them I was not in a position to do so. My husband father has passed away and I was in the process of sending him off. Which left me with no vehicle but the unregistered vehicle that I had in my drive way. My husband explained that we weren't going to be able to pick him up and that we were unaware that he was longer allowed to go to the school. The attendance staff then transferred us to the principal to explain a little further. When he answered the phone, we said hello back and forth for a minute, until I stated I was transferred because my sons transfer was revoked. I told him the situation I was in and how I was not in a position to pick him up at the moment. The principle begin yelling and being persistent that he didn't care what was going on I needed to come get my son. I told him you are yelling and that he was suppose to be the professional and he stated he was matching my energy. That hilarious because he couldn't match the energy of a grieving daughter and daughter in law. Because my father had too just passed. But that's why I let him know sir I am going through a lot and I don't have the time to go back and forth. I have no way of getting him home. I also stated that should've also been verbally said to make sure that we knew the expectation. He also yelled we don't have to do that. I called backed asked if a resource officer could drop him off, they started no. So I went in an unregistered car to go pick him up. When I get there I explain the situation to the front staff, the attendance staff then brings the email they were sure I received, for my to look at it for 5 seconds and noticed they missed the l in Gmail. So I never received the email and because they emailed it I don't believe they mailed anything. The principle never apologized or take responsibility for there error. I am a 911 operator I get calls that crazy but professionalism is the keyParent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Lake Sybelia Elementary School

We are big supporters of public school and wish more parents in the neighborhood wouldn’t overlook LSE for private school!Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews - Hungerford Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school staff are very rude and nasty and the learning material is not on par with grade level. I have had several safety concerns with this school as well that I'm currently addressing with the school board. My AB honoral student has hit a drastic decline in both grades and mental health since starting at this school. There has been an unwillingness to communicate from both the teachers and staff. My daughter's teacher has told her she can only ask two questions a day in class. Don't expect them to properly prepare your student for state tests either as you'll be left with no study material, no graded work from your student, and they don't even use a planner for communication.Parent Review2y ago2 Reviews - Maitland Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis can be a wonderful school for some. Our experience wasn't as great. The classrooms are really small with 20-30 kids packed in, making for a distracting environment. We also don't feel the value is there. It's one of the more expensive private schools in Central Florida and you don't get a lot of the experiences/extra curriculars that others offer, due to the small size of the campus. Montessori has always been a beacon for students who need special accomodations, but at this school it feels very rigid. Students are expected to stay quiet, calm, and listen perfectly at all times with no room for error or accommodation. They also don't have a good foundation/policy for discipline that helps the kids learn from their choices.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - The Parke House Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaving been part of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic School community for over eight years, we’ve grown to admire the leadership and dedication to student education. Nonetheless, we believe there's an opportunity for the school to enhance its offerings, particularly in modernizing and expanding extracurricular activities, clubs, upper class electives, and focus areas such as STEM, to meet a broader range of student needs and interests. My observation over the years is that students who fit the traditional academic mold tend to thrive here. However, I've noticed that students with unique learning needs or those who significantly outpace grade-level expectations may not receive the support or enrichment they require, especially in grades 6 through 8. While elementary students with learning challenges receive attention, this support appears to taper off in later grades, often limited to additional math instruction.Similarly, while the RISE STEM program for fourth graders and above is commendable, its limited availability (only two hours per week) and the absence of other STEM-related clubs for elementary students seem like missed opportunities for children eager to explore and excel in these fields.I believe that expanding support services for students with learning challenges, along with introducing more advanced learning opportunities and extracurricular activities, could significantly enhance the educational experience for all students, not just those "cookie cutter" students who fit the conventional academic profile.Enhancing the school's offerings would not only support students across the academic spectrum but also align with the school's commitment to fostering a rigorous and inclusive educational environment.Parent Review2y ago13 Reviews - Park Maitland School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been part of the Park Maitland family for 10 years. We could not have asked for a better foundation of education for our kids. Park Maitland has provided a level above anything else with education. Our daughters are now off to high school and are a level above their grade level. They have encouraged compassion, kindness, respect and love. Park Maitland is a true family experience. Our children have made lifelong friendships with their peers.Parent Review1mo ago47 Reviews - St. John Lutheran School
