Mulrennan Middle School

My 4th grader developed severe social anxiety after being bullied and ignored by the principal in this school by a child who regularly bullies others. Her and a group of girls made and shared a RAP DISS track about my daughter mocking her, her family, and her body. If your unlucky enough to be at this school, make sure you send your kid in in tattered cloths ready to fight because bullies will be given 100 chances and this is where your child will learn to fight for their self or isolate.

The principal is awesome, professional and she really cares about the kids and easy to talk and very respectful, I think she can find better teachers so the school can continue having a better reputation , the teachers in general are so so, they don’t handle bullying seriously and need a better understanding and preparation, they don’t take issues seriously and the dress code for teachers is zero, they wore flip flops and leggings and shorts like they were going to the beach( very disrespectful) I volunteered there and they didn’t say good morning or thank you , super rude, I witness a teacher bossing a mom around and didn’t even say thanks at the end of the event when this lady worked hard and was super polite . I hope the principal find very teachers for the years to come . My kid was bullied and she had zero support from her homeroom teacher , very disappointed and it is concerning how they handled the situation . They are more concerned about the LGTB community than the well being of the students , I explained my kid at 8 years old about same sex couplescause of the books they put at the library for them . It is an elementary school, focus on teaching what’s important, be sensitive about children emotions and act accordingly when a student is being bullied. A lot of improvement needs to happen. Hire better teachers with passion and true dedication and commitment for education, they are shaping the future , our kids deserve better .

If you have a special needs student they don't know how to deal with them and claim they do but they really don't and will call you up very rudely to get your child and talk to you like trash basically, they have autism or ADHD do not take them here , obviously something going on there because she said thank you for picking her up from there and my child usually loves school but she over here thanking me for getting her out of there.

Terrible admin and support. Not a good place for IEP kids.

We had a very poor experience with this preschool and feel compelled to share in hopes that other parents, especially those with children who have allergies or special needs, can make a more informed decision. Our son has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy, and we provided the school with a doctor-issued emergency protocol to ensure his safety. Despite our efforts, the school showed a troubling lack of coordination and understanding. There was ongoing confusion through multiple phone calls, Zoom meetings, and in-person conversations. It was clear that communication between staff members was disjointed. One of the most upsetting incidents occurred when our son told us he was made to sit alone behind the kitchen during snack time, and when he asked why, a teacher reportedly told him, "because we don't want you to get sick." We had clearly expressed that we did not want him isolated & singled out during meals. This action was both unnecessary and emotionally harmful for a 4-year-old child. When we brought this to the attention of the director, Ms. Pranita, she was completely unaware of the situation. She gave conflicting accounts - first claiming our son declined fruit, then backtracking and saying she wasn't present at the time and would speak to the teachers to clarify. We never received a follow-up, despite being promised one.To make matters worse, when we went to collect our son's belongings and medications, the director and owner walked them out silently without a word of acknowledgment or apology. We found this to be incredibly unprofessional and cold, given the circumstances. And lastly, despite all the above, we discovered that they were teaching our son to write his name incorrectly, because they had it misspelled on all materials. This experience was deeply disappointing. Our main priority has always been our child's safety and well-being, and we expected a basic level of competence and compassion from a preschool - especially when dealing with a serious medical condition. Unfortunately, we did not find that here.

I have 2 sons that went through FCA from PreK to Graduation. They absolutely loved school. The relationships they formed with the faculty is not like anything you can get anywhere else. Their teachers were great Christian mentors and have turned into great Christian friends. It was a safe place for them to learn, make mistakes, find their identity, and be involved in a variety of extra curricular activities. Both boys graduated from the University of South Florida. One is now working as a Physician Assistant, and the other went into the Space Force as an officer. I attribute a great deal to FCA for their public speaking skills and confidence. This school will always remain in our hearts.
