Read what parents are saying about Forest Hills Elementary SchoolI have not had a bully exp with mine so far just typical tit for tat stuff, the principal now Regina Gordon seems to do very well with the kids and mine love her especially my 11 yr old. my only complaint at this school is the "cop" who seems to love to turn a blind eye for some parents then start harping on others. example: one parent drops 4 kids off at the crosswalk literally stops right in front of me to do it so I let my kids out with hers and he starts yelling at me and acts like he didn't see her do the same thing, then makes me call my kids back and park while she pulls away and drives off he never said a word to her and this was not the 1st altercation with him. other then the school cop the school itself has been great and so have the teachers my kids have bad adhd and they have help them get on track and have specialized programs to give extra help they are great with special needs. other then the covid stuff, missing being able to walk them in on their 1st day and their rude cop the school has been great for mine.

Posted by a parent on 2/1/2019Very poor, heart breaking! All we want is to see our children achieve and become successful adults. That starts here, yet the children have to be more concerned about getting beat up on and other bullying, not just by one child but by many.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLake Magdalene is a true example of an exceptional public school. The teachers, staff, and administration are invested in the students, families, and keeping the rich history of this school, alive. My children have attended this school for the past 4 years, and I keep sending them here year after year, even after being offered a spot at several “prestigious” charter schools. Lake Magdalene is a gem, and I hope the school continues to thrive for generations to come. Thank you, LMES!!!Parent Review1y ago - Miles Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSpeaking as a Guardian ad Litem to many children in many schools, I want to commend the staff at Miles Elementary who have always received and returned calls quickly and who have interacted with me kindly and professionally at every interaction. Most importantly, all of the children for whom I have advocated and who are attending ,or have attended, Miles Elementary, have spoken of this school as being one of their their "safe places" and have spoken very affectionately of their teachers. Best of all, the children that I work with who attend Miles are learning a lot.Other Review1mo ago - Montessori Academy Of Tampa Bay

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had to remove my child from this environment due to blatant discrimination by the lead teacher. The lead teacher did not discipline students who were bullying my child, but rather made excuses for the aggressors. She would also write reports up about my child when my child had to defend herself against bullying. The lead teacher would conveniently leave out the aggressions initiated by bullies that caused my child to react. I’d only get a full account of what transpired by asking probing questions that ultimately led her to confessing that my child was first hit by a bully on the playground (this was just one event among many). This and many other accounts where my child was discriminated against both blatantly and passive aggressively led me to remove my child from this environment. Also an award that was supposed to be given by student votes was rigged and manipulated by the lead teacher to favor who she wanted to receive the award, so integrity is questionable. Additionally when my child was struggling in math I was not notified early on or updated on her progress (I found out because I pay close attention to my child’s performance) which made me believe that my child was intentionally not positioned to have support that could have led to better outcomes. Pay close attention to micro aggressions towards minority children because this was not a positive experience.Parent Review2mo ago - Missionary Christian Academy
