Read what parents are saying about Seminole Middle SchoolSeminole Middle is an excellent school! The principal, Dr Ovalle is amazing and very involved.
Posted by a parent on 12/12/2023Seminole middle is a great school so far! The teachers and principals are worker 1000X more to make Seminole middle a safer, more engaging, and more enjoyable school environment for the students. Heck yeah there are fights here and there, and of course, the officers, and teachers IMMEDIATELY put a stop to it. From Seminole middle last year….and Seminole middle now…..they’re WAYYYYYYYY less fights. I thought I would be miserable at this school…BUT NO! I felt safe, happy, and ready to start my new school here at Seminole middle. Many students whine about dress code! Yes you can only wear leggings if a shirt goes below bottom. Yes you can only wear shorts that go mid thigh length. Yes rips on jeans have to go below thigh. However! These rules create a safer environment from harm. And there are rules for a reason. So I hope you read this and consider coming to Seminole middle!! You will always be accepted
Posted by a student on 8/24/2023i wouldn’t really recommend this school. im never accommodated for my social anxiety, the principals aren’t very kind, and you don’t even have basic rights like talking with your friends at lunch (hoodies are also banned for some reason?).
Posted by a student on 8/10/2023This school is awful, not only does it promote sexual assault, but the victims often get in trouble for their own assault. Meanwhile, the assaulters rarely get in trouble and are often praised or not even talked to.
Posted by a parent on 1/22/2023Everyday violence and drugs. Unprovoked attacks. Passive teachers who overlook fights, drugs. A large inability to be proactive in interest of the student’s safety. Bus is always late, at times excessive. Which creates a large tardiness in my child’s first period which is an advanced coarse. Leadership that is unaccountable. My child went from advanced classes/honor roll loving school. To being assaulted two times, harassed and not wanting to go to school. She has seen kids beat bloody. Kids drunk. Vaping. More than what a 6th grader, or any adolescent should.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to Seminole specifically so our child could attend Bauder Elementary, and I am so happy that we did! Bauder goes above and beyond in ensuring students’ academic success. The teachers are communicative and supportive and aren’t afraid to go the extra mile to make sure the kids achieve their full potential. My child has made wonderful friends and loves the staff and teachers! There is excellent communication from administration and leadership, and there are many engagement and enrichment activities for family and friends. I feel confident that my child is receiving the best possible education at Bauder Elementary.Parent Review1y ago - Oakhurst Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOakhurst Elementary is not a supportive environment for special needs families and students. The Principal has run dozens of families out of the Pinellas County school system because of her punitive and cruel interpretations of allowing therapists to assist children inside the school. Many of these families, already struggling, are stressed and thirsty for any type of help for their children will not find it at Oakhurst Elementary. It's important to mention, many of the teachers and support staff do NOT agree with the harsh policies enacted by the Principal.Parent Review1y ago - Seminole Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhere to start. This year was a myriad of changes that drastically affected our worklife and homelife. IRCS raised tuition in just 3 years over $4,000 per student in differing grades. They have no plans of stopping the increases also after explaining they plan to raise millions more in the next few years for “projects”. In addition to raising tuition drastically, they changed school start and stop times, eliminated after school drop off care, lost a ton of staff, eliminated the ability to choose weekly summer school program (instead they made parents pay for 7 weeks entirely), regularly carry out group punishments grade wide while not notifying parents of issues they’re attempting to correct with these actions, administrators ignore emails and concerns of parents and many teachers have odd methods of discipline. There is a culture of tattle-tailing that will inevitably get your children disciplined for something another student reports to teachers. Administration also admit they don’t directly witness the behavior they punish all of the time. Grandparents day was a disaster with “safety concerns” amid their overzealous new safety protocol. Many more changes are on the horizon. A school with too much demand but not enough accountability to the parents for poor choices that will drastically affect you. Avoid this school.Parent Review1mo ago - Blessed Sacrament Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been at blessed sacrament for the last five years. She started with a speech delay along with some early reading issues. She has a diagnosis of Adhd and has struggled with some emotional regulation issues. This school has gone above and beyond to help her be successful and she is absolutely thriving here. As a parent I have felt supported from day one in working to make sure she has the accommodations she needs. Mrs. Clark the current principle, is outstanding and has created such a positive environment for both staff and students.Parent Review1y ago - Bay Pines Lutheran School
