9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was our first year in public school and we were blown away with this school. Not only do the staff love and care for the students, the culture is incredible. The PTO is extremely involved and puts a lot of love and energy into raising money for the school and celebrating students and staff on a regular basis. The school has many events, parades, and parties that give students amazing things to look forward to. As for teachers, we have only had one so far but she was PHENOMENAL. Mrs. Baird gives 100% to her students and genuinely cares about their success. She does a great job at making the class feel like a family, holding everyone accountable to the rules, building each other up, cheering each other on, etc. She goes above and beyond and we never once felt any negative feelings about sending our son to school. He came home daily telling us about phonic rules and how to use them. He talked about how they learned how to set boundaries, be a good friend, and be a great citizen. My son also speaks very highly of Mrs. Sutherly, Officer Mark, Mrs. Achille, Mrs. Staley, Mr. Samuel, and Mr. Bill! I highly recommend this school!Parent Review3w ago16 Reviews - Riverview High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy 8 year old was violently attacked on her bus by a boy who has been bullying her verbally for months without repercussions. The principle never even met with me. One out of the two children who hurt her still got to ride a school bus with her. They let bullying run wild in the halls. If it's not physical this school does not care. There are few teachers left here who actually care about the kids. Ms Shulman is not one of them. She made my daughter who is now diagnosed ADHD hate school and was a constant menace to her if she was not perfect.Parent Review1y ago14 Reviews - Wilkinson Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a really darling school physically. It depicts a stately Florida heritage with its older architecture and natural oak landscaping. I suppose if they were to repurpose this, then, it would be to sell the property, demolish the school building and cut these oaks down, therefore desecrating the concept of heritage and greening our schools.Despite enrollment, it begs the question: what is the real meaning of repurposing? Is it a Selby Garden scenario of self gain and this on behalf of community loss? I would think enrollment is only half the cost when it comes to repurposing. The other is the community, something SCSB should consider in depth The concept of repurposing should be understood in terms of both education and the environment, as well as in terms of community input.Teacher Review8mo ago23 Reviews - Incarnation Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has zero tolerence for adhd children or onrs with autism. They will judge on the first day and single out your child by judging them by how their peers act. They will likely rule out your child and day its a safety concern. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve had a truly wonderful experience with Out-of-Door Academy. Both of our kids are thriving not just academically, but emotionally and socially as well. They’ve grown into well-rounded, confident individuals, and I credit much of that to the supportive, well-balanced environment at ODA.The school offers a great variety of opportunities, from sports to theater to music, and our kids have had the chance to get involved in all of them. It’s not the kind of place where you have to choose one path, kids are encouraged to explore and find what they love. That’s been huge for our family. They’ve also made great friends, and we’ve noticed how kind and inclusive the student body tends to be. Of course, no school is perfect, but incidents of bullying are very rare, and when issues do come up, they’re handled quickly and thoughtfully. The teachers are truly impressive. Many hold advanced degrees and bring both passion and professionalism to the classroom. But more importantly, they care about the students as individuals. They really take the time to get to know the kids and help them grow, both in and out of the classroom. All in all, we feel incredibly lucky to be part of the ODA community. It’s a place where kids are challenged, supported, and given the space to become their best selves.Parent Review9mo ago16 Reviews - Out Of Door Academy-Upper School
