Read what parents are saying about Bellview Middle SchoolThis school is the worst school ever. Whatever you do avoid this school at all cost. Very discriminatory, they dont listen to parents, they would rather kick your child out then teach or find a solution.
Posted by a parent on 10/4/2017bellview middle school is great you have great teachers and the work is a challenge for the kids to get them ready for the next grade.
Posted by a community member on 7/24/2013I believe Bellview Middle is quickly on its way to being one of the top schools in Pensacola. The principle is doing an amazing job she now has three year teams. So instead of your student getting lost in a faceless mob of middle schoolers, they are one of 150 per a team. These teachers are now teaching students for their individual needs. We have a foster daughter who came to live with us in 7th she was on first grade reading level. By the end of 8th they had brought her up to grade level while helping, and respecting her emotional issues. My daughter attended their advanced Inquires team. The Inquires made advanced learning fun and taught her great learning and study strategies. Her and several classmates all started the IB program this year and are not struggling at. A good # of students from Bellview go on to attend IB and W. Florida. They send more students to State and National History, and Science fairs than other schools. Bellview is becoming one of the best. Bellview may have issues but all schools do. In the past it was rough but I believe if people would even go tour the school they would be surprised and how proud their child is a Bellview Warrior.
Posted by a parent on 10/9/2011I attended all three years at this school from 2000-2003 and it was absolutely fantastic. The teachers were amazing and they always did their best to help their students. Despite what others may think, this school is NOT one of the worst; it takes effort and hard work if you want to go far. If it weren't for skills that I was taught in this school and shown how to better understand things from the teachers along with my own persistence to keep myself focused and on track, I would not have been the student that I am today. I graduated from this school with above average grades and have NEVER wished otherwise. Don't ever let someone else's negative thinking and words affect your choice. Belleview Middle School is one of the best out there and they really offer their students a lot of opportunities! The teachers are fantastic and they always go out of their way to better help their students!

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe came from the north. My special needs daughter didn’t talk, read, or write. She has a lot of social anxiety and lack of understanding of personal space etc. since she has been In Bellview she has been flourishing. She can write a little now, do simple tasks/worksheets, and follow simple directions. Her team of teachers are amazing and keep us updated on her progress. She’s been much happier, too!Parent Review1y ago - Montclair Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is highly frustrating in their measures to ensure that the children get the proper help. No summer school is available unless the child is disabled. No after school programs to help the child catch up. No reading help when your child is more than two grades below on Math and English.Parent Review4y ago - Sherwood Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Sherwood Elementary from 1998 to 2001, and had a great experience. The school was old, but clean, and not run down, and dirty like it is now. I recently attended grandparents day to have lunch, and attend the book fair with my grandchild. I didn't expect lunch to be good, so no surprises there. The children served themselves hot food of their choice, not always the best choices, onto flimsy styrofoam plates, and miraculously made it to their tables with out the need of cleanup from the disgusting mop bucket full of black water in the main walkway in the cafeteria! My grandchild's kindergarten teacher is by far the greatest disappointment. The children have no desks, and no appointed seating at all. They have stations that they just migrate to, and basically do as they please. The rooms decor is rundown, and dirty. Not bright, and colorful to spark imagination, and learning. Her teacher was an ill tempered woman that sat at her table filled with "stuff" and yelled at the children that she was "Fixing to have to take away points if they didn't shut up. You are supposed to be reading not talking in reading group." I left this once loved school with tears in my eyes, and pain in my heart knowing that my grandchildren have to attend this school. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school and faculty is more concerned about the length of students' haircuts than they are about an inclusive and safe environment. Almost no students stand for the pledge of allegiance. Students yell out racial slurs during class with no repercussions. Teachers bully kids and some trauma dump their own issues on students. Toxic environment with unavailable principal. A few quality teachers, but no solid discipline policies in place leaving teachers to handle disruptive students on a daily basis. No reading program in place at all. This school is like a last resort for the catholic system and does not live catholic values. Waste of money and should be shut down or overhauled.Parent Review8mo ago
