Read what parents are saying about Lake Forest Elementary SchoolThe school is great with teaching the students and have patience with the kids ,and they handle kids with disabilities as instructed by the school policy and procedures.
Posted by a parent on 9/4/2023All I can say is thank god my kids are grown up and out of this horrible school system of today. The so called security guard that works the south gate is a real piece of work. Lazy, and always on the phone. I have asked him several times about these cones in front of my driveway and blocking up the road, all he seems to do is sit over there and play with his phone all day. The language he talks on that phone is also deplorable, I have grandchildren that come over here and they have to listen to that outside when I want them outside to play in the yard. I've addressed this situation several times and nothing seems to work apparently they're only there for a paycheck. Maybe if somebody reads this something will be done about it this is a guy that's supposed to protect the school and all he's doing is sitting there playing games with his phone and socializing with his friends. Above and all the school is just a nuisance in the neighborhood it is not run properly with traffic in and out and it is absolutely an eyesore in the neighborhood. I've been here since the '70s and it's getting more ridiculous as days go by. If this is an example of the rest of the staff here, wow! All I can say. :(
Posted by a community member on 10/27/2021I was a bit nervous about the school because of the mixed reviews but so far so good. The school has been extremely good. My girls are happy both teachers are super nice and they seem to be extremely organized.
Posted by a parent on 9/4/2021My experience with this school was the best, when my son started (prekinder) he had a problems with speech, but after Ms Perez and the therapies help him actually he's the best in class, I was very sad because he can't to continue at the school because i didn't live at the area, but very happy to recommended to everybody. Thanks to Principal, to Ms. Lloyd she was the first step and help me too much, Ms Perez best teacher ever, one more time THANKS.
Posted by a community member on 2/8/2016NICE, THE BEST SCHOOL EVER. THE TEACHERS, THE STAFF. RATING IS 1 , BUT FOR ME IS 10. I GO FOR HOW MY CHILD IS TREAT, NO FOR WHAT THE SCHOOL IS RATE. LOVE THIS SCHOOL.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNO STARSI have lived in my home for 40 years and live a few blocks from the school. My kids went there and it was declining that far back. I thank God my kids got called to go to Nova, and they received the best education they could have possibly had at that time. At least they didn't have to go to Olsen or South Broward, which follows right along with the disturbing ways at Orangebrook. It is a shame that people in our neighborhood, who pay top dollar for their homes, including a home that just sold for 1,100,000 thousand dollars, cannot send their children to this school, because it is so bad. Reading the reviews reinforces all that I have heard. I know for a fact, 3 children who could walk a block to school, and they have to send their kids to Hollywood Hills Elementary and Stirling Elementary and Nativity, and provide their own transportation, because the education they would receive at Orangebrook would not be good. There is definitely something wrong here. And I suspect it starts at the top with the Principal. And speaking of the principal, last time we voted, they have changed my voting poll to Orangebrook. The principal came over the speaker and was very rude, and told the teachers to pay attention when it was their time to go to the cafeteria and get their classes down there on time. He was very condescending when he spoke. Why when it gets bad reviews, is not someone up top looking at this? Bad test scores and complaints. So sad, and the middle and high school is not any better. So sad these kids that have to go to these schools. This is what is happening to them?Other Review1y ago - Madie Ives K-8 Preparatory Academy

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son just joined Maude Ives just two weeks ago me and my family moved here from Jacksonville everything was scary for him coming into a new school. The proceed to get him in the school he was zoned for was unbearable, front desk staff highly rude and disrespectful but I soon come to learn that I wasn’t the only one having issues with the front desk as I sat for a while and listened to other parents complain and the attitude they were showing towards the parents despicable. Also the teachers do not encourage or as the principal speaks in her message on their school page for your child to have an enjoyable educational experience which they fall very short of. A teacher has made beyond rude comments to my child and now I have to reach out to school boards at this point, may get a transfer to another school near by. I refuse to let my child endure this type of abuse from their teachers and staff!Parent Review1y ago - Annunciation School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy school experience as a student is great until I got to fourth grade I started feeling uncomfortable and not happy because people keep bullying me and calling me names and also I would hate when students would walk around the class during important class works and they would yell and scream and some of the teachers wouldn’t do anything about it but I would recommend this to parents that want their kids to learn a lesson and something but I wouldn’t recommend this to parents that don’t want their kids to get called names or Treated like trashStudent Review4y ago - Good Shepherd Academy
