This school is truly a community elementary school. Many children bike and walk to this jewel of a school. The administration and teachers are friendly and competent. the principal is very visible and responsive. Drop off and pick up for car riders is well-organized. The curriculum is challenging. S

Posted by a parent on 10/31/2025My daughter went to OVE Kindgergarten through 3rd grade and had a great experience. The curriculum and the school was awesome! They were rated an A school all the years she was there by Clay County and Florida Board of Education.

The administration and staff are truly one of the most open and supportive in the county. Student safety and well being is a top priority. Highly recommend this school.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a military family it has been a struggle for my children to adapt to this school, after having transferred mid school year. From the lack of help of administration, to teachers telling me "it's not my job to catch your child up", I couldn't be more unhappy with this school. The teachers lie, yell at students, and the administration would rather send your child home to not have to deal with them if there are any issues. Multiple instances of my child being bullied and attacked by other students. Could not be happier we left and moved away. My child is excelling and doing great at new school. They actually look forward to going to school and we have a teacher that uses positive reinforcements, not negative punishments, isolation and taking away “treasure box” after it is earned. I’ve filled out 3 forms this year for my son and all of them have been lost… even the two that I personally walked into and turned in the front office. I notified them of being out of town and instead of making a note of it they threatened truancy on me. My son was sent to the school counselor because of issues he was having. I’m glad they decided to help him but I guess it became a weekly thing and I was never even notified that he was doing that. The best part of this school is the teachers.
