Read what parents are saying about Thornebrooke Elementary SchoolThe school is doing great, math & english has more emphasis. AR & ReadingPlus is mandatory for all students. It really helps to improve reading & language skills. However the teachers emphasize less on Science, Social studies & sports. I felt there is no emphasis on Arts or skill development at all.
Posted by a parent on 3/16/2020Great school, students, staff and admin. Students learn and advance every year.
Posted by a parent on 3/13/2019We love this school. They are all very professional- principal, counselor, front desk, teachers. Very quick to address issues and make needed changes . To me it makes a difference when a school team truly cares, and it shows at Thornebrooke. Kudos to this excellent school! And thanks...

Posted by a parent on 7/26/2017My daughter started here in 1st grade from an out of state school. She was a little behind when she started, but by Thanksgiving break, she had done more that caught up, she was ahead, and LOVING it. Her teacher, Ms. Hooks, and the rest of the staff really went above and beyond my expectations to help her out along the way. She has made some wonderful friends here and looks forward to going to school. I love this school!

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn 7 years living here in a few places, mi kids go to different schools before we get here, my two boys go to Lake Whitney, this is the best school and you can see that in your kids right away. They help the kids with passion and sweetness. I’m going to miss the school when my almost 10 years boy transition to middle school.Parent Review8mo ago - Westbrooke Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI refuse to tolerate the substandard food at this school or the biased way they handle disciplinary issues. It is unacceptable that they mistreat our children like this. I urge you to find another elementary school as this one provides a terrible experience.Parent Review5mo ago - Central Florida Preparatory School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst experience & was locked in a contract. No face-to-face with teachers allowed, no phones either-must email only and wait for a possible reply. My child hated going. A couple of teachers were great, but they don't stay. Had teachers that don't care about the kids (one refused to even speak to my child the entire year). Example: My kid always had A's on all exams but made a 68 once & the teacher didn't even bother to find out "why?" My child was threatened personally by one of the administrators. They refused to work with my child's disability but instead repeatedly penalized without consideration. Safety was fine except for punishments they inflicted (mostly via grading). There also isn't any medically experienced personnel on site. The school strongly discourages family engagement. Good luck ever getting past their front counter or speaking to a teacher. If you are a parent that likes to be involved, likes to establish rapport with teachers/faculty, or would like your child to feel supported by school personnel - look elsewhere. You will not find any of those things here. They seem to be all about $$$ Do not believe their website. I almost sued for breach of contract based on what is presented. (The only positive reviews I found were actually left by their own faculty.)Parent Review8mo ago - Premier Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience with the school is amazing I had another Christian school experiences and public schools experiences. The christian environment is the best, it's not perfect but it's for sure a place to experience spiritual formation. I hope my daughters can be there until graduation.Other Review10mo ago - Buena Vista Academy
