There are security restrictions, but.It's not high enough security like every period there are at least 6 people smoking in different halls and there are bugs just walking around and this school is very strict such as if they think you are susp

As a matter of fact, the principal was calling students in office and telling them if they attempt the practice exam, or some test, and get a d or higher
Posted by a parent on 9/29/2023This school is very disappointing. The staff doesn’t seem to really care much when it comes to effective communication with parents. I feel they need a whole new staff starting with the principal.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDillard Street Elementary is a total gem and a testament to how incredible public education can be. My kids actually looks forward to going to school every morning. I’ve been especially impressed with the staff goes above and beyond to make sure every child is seen and supported. The teachers and staff know my boys by name and give them a friendly greeting every morning, even if they have not had my boys in their class. The PTA is diverse, welcoming, and constantly finding ways to bring us all together. Who makes a child repeat kindergarten?We've dealt with three teachers, the first kindergarten teacher was okay at best, the second (no comment), the third teacher I like very much.I've asked several times to have my child tested for learning disabilities and nothing has come of it.The vp seems to target my child more so than others.
