The Kings Academy

Dillard Street Elementary is a total gem and a testament to how incredible public education can be. My kids actually looks forward to going to school every morning. I’ve been especially impressed with the staff goes above and beyond to make sure every child is seen and supported. The teachers and staff know my boys by name and give them a friendly greeting every morning, even if they have not had my boys in their class. The PTA is diverse, welcoming, and constantly finding ways to bring us all together. It’s truly a school that brings back that old feeling of community, and our family is so lucky to be a part of it.

This is the worst school.It should be shut down, due to the rampant racism.Children get call names they should never know exists, and no child should ever have to endure thatkind of treatment.This is a small school and a waste of taxpayers money. Students could be absorbed into surrounding schools, without a notice.

I'm really happy with the school with the new board and staff. Mu daughter's teacher (Ms. Snyder) is amazing!

My child did not leave this school with the level of academic preparation we expected, despite the courses taken and the final GPA.Even more concerning than the academic gaps is the lasting impact on how they now view the school. They have stated they would never return to a campus where they spent so many formative years, largely due to their experiences with administration and how they perceived people were treated. While the school presents a welcoming image on the surface—particularly toward those with financial influence—our experience suggested a different reality behind the scenes. There appeared to be a culture in which negative conversations about parents, students, and even staff were not uncommon.Overall, this experience has left a lasting emotional impact that will take time to process, in some ways even more than the academic concerns themselves.

This is a place that really makes you feel apart of a family! They have a very engaging curriculum and a strong emphasis on student success . The teachers are some of the best you will ever meet! The administration goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure each child gets what they need to succeed!

Absolutely love this school. My son has cerebral palsy and epilepsy and I enrolled him into this school. I was hesitant at first but it became the best decision ever! My son has been thriving in his class and has never cried when it was time to go to school. Keep up the great work UCP West Orange!
