Read what parents are saying about Miami Killian Senior High SchoolI graduated Killian High in 2000 and was very happy with the school and went straight to a four year college after graduation. (Florida International University then University of Miami). It has outstanding AP and Honors classes that really prepare you for college. There can be some bad elements in the school but for the most part if you enroll in the advanced classes and stay busy with extracurriculuar activitites you will succeed. If you enroll your teen in this school do NOT put them in the regular classes. AP and Honors classes all the way. Regular classes tend to be full of the underachievers and kids that barely speak english. The school is over 60% Hispanic. Keep your teen busy while at this school. There are a plethora of outstanding activities to keep them out of trouble. From what I hear they do not allow the students to leave campus during the day anymore. When I went to the school we were allowed to have lunch at Ron Ehmann park next door until a huge gang riot broke out one day circa 1998 that made the park off limits during school hours. Great school if you put your kid in the advanced programs.
Posted by a parent on 1/28/2015Pricipal Ennis is a great leader for this school. This school now boasts of an "A" rating in the Miami Dade County Public Schools rating system ("F" being the lowest). My son is enrolled in the I-Prep program which is super challenging, event for a gifted student. I chose this school over other's he was accepted to (MAST Academy, Coral Reef, Columbus (Private)) for the down to personality of most of the students, the excellent curriculum, awesome sports programs and easy access to public transportation. This school is in a neighborhood with million dollar homes and that campus is expansive. It is a large school that feels small due to the dedication of the teachers and support staff. The administration evens attends the local varisty sports events to show their support for their students. I LOVE this school
Posted by a parent on 9/24/2014Killian is a very good school. I'm going to be a junior this upcoming year. I hear many people say Killian is a bad school and that bad kids go there but its not true. Every school is going to have those "bad kids". The school offers so much to its students. The principal Mr. Ennis is amazing. The teachers, for the most part, are great. I recommend Killian to other students. Of course every school has its downsides but overall I love it.
Posted by a student on 6/13/2013This school is everything you can ask for. Everyday when you walk into Killian, everyone welcomes you with open arms. The school spirt is just AMAZING. The AP, Honors, and regular classes are great also. Teachers truley care about you. Over all this school is the best thing you can ask for.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school absolutely sucks. The teachers talk bad about the students and everything. If you’re thinking about putting your child in this school please rethink that. They also don’t care about the students mental health like at all.Parent Review2mo ago - Vineland K-8 Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy husband and I were looking for a school for our daughter. After visiting/calling several preschools we weren’t completely happy with the way things were run at these schools. We decided to ask around the community, several parents we spoke to highly recommended Concordia to us. We decided to call and speak directly with the school- we instantly loved everything from their teaching methods, to religious beliefs and the way they handle allergies/ emergencies. We decided to go in person even though with Covid restrictions we weren’t able to tour the school. However, the moment we stepped foot onto the campus grounds we felt a sense of love and community. All the staff that greeted us were so nice and welcoming at that moment we knew this is where our daughter needed to attend. Our first schooling experience has been beyond wonderful, I only have positive things to say. Our daughter truly loves and enjoys going to school- she has learned and has grown so much this past year. If you have a child with allergies you will be happy to know that the school continuously communicated with me to inform me of any special events that would be happening so that I can plan ahead and make sure my daughter would have something so that she wouldn’t feel left out. If you are looking for a preschool that feels more like a family, is religion based and feels like a community then look no further. I promise, you will be so happy and grateful for choosing this school for your child.Parent Review1y ago - Our Lady Of The Rosary School

I went to SJN 3 years (for middle school) and there is almost nothing good to say about it, only good teacher in middle school was Mr. Fernandez.Other Review2y ago - Victoria's Playhouse Daycare Pre-K
