Read what parents are saying about Coral Way K-8 CenterI am truly blessed to live a block away from this public school. I have a 4th-grade daughter and a VPK daughter. I have only awesome things to say about this school. The teachers are really kind, committed, and prepared. Every single person I encountered in the Admin Office is excellent, and truly friendly. The Director and Sub-Directors really listen to us (parents). They try to accommodate any request that is essential to the wellbeing and progress of my kids. They take the students' safety very seriously, which is really important to me. As a Spanish native, I am thrilled that Coral Way K8 is a bi-lingual school, with an International Student Program in Spanish as well. Lastly, the building is just so charming and architecturally romantic!
Posted by a parent on 9/11/2023Awesome local bilingual school. We moved our kids here from a private school, and were so happy. The teachers are great, the education is actually much tougher, the kids are generally more down to earth and nicer. Not to say it's paradise, but a much healthier and happier environment. There are lots of seminars on parenting and other issues, lots of activities for kids, just an all around great school.
Posted by a parent on 8/7/2017My son attended Coral Way from 1st grade through 5th grade. His experience was wonderful. He was in the gifted program, the teachers care greatly about the childrens' education. Many beautiful activities, we developed quite a beautiful community. My only area for improvement or recommendation, is that like most schools nation wide, they need to bring recess back. Recess and breaks are important to growing bodies. Children perform better when they can let go some excess energy. Overall great school.
Posted by a parent on 5/5/2017I LOVE THE SCHOOL. I have a daughter in 3 rd grade and a son in Kinder and I could be more happy. They are both highly motivated and the teachers are great. Totally recommend this school

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible, the people don’t care about the students or parents at all. Trying to take out a child out of the school is horrible since everyone want to take out their children out. Horrible with handicap accessible, contacted the distract about issues with office staff I’m hoping to hear back soon. I was a student there when I was younger and it was the worst decision for my younger sister and little sister in law to go there. Everything about bullying is true, the school does not get any better and I’m sure it will never get better. Should be shut down since they don’t even want to be there. Every issue that happens always come from the faculty and they don’t even fix the problems they create and then blame the parents for their own mistakes. If you can try putting your children’s at another school please doParent Review2y ago - Shenandoah Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter started the Gordon School at 12 months and is currently enrolled still. As part of the ECC community, my daughter has grown and developed in a way I could have only dreamed. She is now speaking both Spanish and English and looks forward to going to school everyday. When it is time to go home, she never wants to leave-if she could sleep at the Gordon School and go home with her teachers I think she would. Not only are the teachers INCREDIBLE in the sense of love, warmth nurture and academics, they love each child like they are their own. When I was looking for schools for my daughter I saw the outdoor space, the garden and the trees and was immediately sold. As parents, we have made lifelong friends and are happy to belong to a community as welcoming, fun and warm as the Gordon School community. There are so many opportunities to be involved in the community and the school-its also been beautiful to watch my 2.5 year old cover her eyes during the shema and learn the traditions of Judaism at such an early age. Another huge plus is the security...I drop my child off every day and I know that she is safe.I would recommend the Early Childhood center to any and all families.Parent Review1mo ago - Sts Peter & Paul School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a hidden gem!!! My son attended from 4th grade until he graduated in 8th grade. Our experience at SPPS was absolutely wonderful. My son had the kindest and most nurturing teacher's ever. The administration were so helpful and knew my son and all our names as soon as they saw us or heard our voices on the phone. The parents were all friends and knew each other. Prom was amazing. But what will forever live in my heart is when I would hear the kids sing the school song. This school superseded all of my expectations! The school does not disappoint. We had to move to Westchester because our son went on to Columbus Highschool and has now graduated but we are seriously thinking of selling and moving back to Brickell only for our daughter to attend this school and have the most memorable time of her young life!Parent Review5mo ago - Calvary Baptist Church School
