Blue Lakes Elementary School

I’m writing this review with the intent of providing honest feedback in the hopes that it encourages improvement. While the school may have potential in certain areas, my experience with the front office administration has been deeply disappointing.Unfortunately, the people skills displayed by some of the administrative staff have made communication and basic interactions far more difficult than they should be. Professionalism, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude are essential especially in a school environment where families and students should feel supported and respected. Sadly, these qualities have been lacking.I sincerely hope that leadership takes steps to improve front office training and culture. A warm and respectful first impression goes a long way, and a school’s front office should reflect the values and integrity of the entire institution. It’s unfortunate that I feel the need to write this, but I hope it serves as constructive feedback. Our experience with Olympia Elementary’s front office has been extremely disappointing. The staff has consistently come across as rude, dismissive, and more focused on discussing their next vacation than addressing real concerns from parents. As a parent, it’s disheartening to be met with such indifference when trying to resolve an issue affecting my child. Communication should be helpful, solutions-focused, and respectful none of which we experienced during our time here. For these reasons, we’ve made the decision to remove our child from Olympia Elementary. We truly hope the school takes a closer look at the tone and professionalism being set by those who are often the first point of contact for families.

My son just started Snapper Creek this school year and I don’t have enough good things to say. They are doing everything in their power to make the transition as smooth as possible with no tables left unturned. Mrs. Lozano has been nothing short of amazing in helping us in this process and all the staff ( Including their security) at Snapper Creek are honestly so kind and genuine! Looking forward to an amazing year in third grade in S.C.E!

LOVE this school, administration, security guards and especially the teachers. My son is in the ESE program and has progressed SO MUCH in one year and a half. But i saw the progression in a few months after his start date, very grateful for this school. I love the support, commuication, and care the teachers and staff have towards my child and us (the parents), including on zoom calls. I couldnt be happier with this school.

Our child has applied to this school for three consecutive years. We come from a strong Christian family, and our faith and Christian values were a major reason we continued pursuing this school. Each year, our child completed the observations and assessments and received nothing but positive feedback about how well they did. Yet every year, we were waitlisted and ultimately never offered admission, without ever receiving a genuine explanation as to why. After three years, this process has left us questioning how fair and transparent admissions truly are and whether status, connections, favoritism, or nepotism play a role. From our experience, the process simply did not reflect the honesty, fairness, sincerity, and Christian values we expected from a faith-based school. As a Christian family, we have prayed about it and come to believe that perhaps God was protecting our child from an environment that was not meant for them. If this is how families are made to feel during admissions, we can only question what the culture is like on the inside. After three years of disappointment, we will not be applying again. Christian values should be demonstrated through actions, not simply through a school’s name or reputation.

KCS is a wonderful school! If you are looking for a small school, K2 through high school, where the faculty and staff really care about your child, this is the school for you. There is one class per grade, small class sizes and a warm and loving environment. The school does its very best to teach and challenge students, while sharing Christ and His love. I have worked at three different schools in the office, and I can honestly say KCS is the best around!

This school is terrible. My children always say their math teachers is always yelling at them and bullies them. This makes my daughter have a negative impact on her mental heath and I think they should take quick action. Also , the take away recess for children who don’t behave. Recess is meant to have fun and as a therapist this is unbelievable. If children keeep having recess off this can be sued. Lasly, the school administrators favorite students and parents with popularity and financial income. Don’t put your child here.
