Oscar J. Pope Elementary School

As a parent, I am extremely concerned about the professionalism, supervision, and overall environment at this school.There have been multiple instances where staff displayed visible frustration and attitude when assisting students with basic needs. In one situation, a school officer appeared irritated about having to help a student retrieve his belongings. The front office response afterward was also disappointing.There have also been supervision concerns during outdoor activities where student behavior went unaddressed despite staff being nearby.Additionally, my child has experienced repeated illnesses and multiple accidents since attending this school, which raises concerns about cleanliness and sanitation practices within the facility.Families should feel supported, not dismissed. Students deserve a safe, attentive, and respectful environment. I sincerely hope administration takes these concerns seriously and works toward improvement.

This school uses effective teqniques of teaching not only academics, but useful life skills. You really get a feel for the community environment here at South Mckeel. The staff is incredible, caring, and involved in its student's academic, and personal lives. We wildcats are constantly growing, learning, and achieving great things. Due to the staff, and opportunities presented to us, we are able to expand our fields of knowledge, and so much more. As students, we are always being encouraged to be our best selves. I've absolutely loved my many years at South Mckeel.

I have three grandchildren and two great grandchildren as students in Geneva. One is graduating this year and another is a junior. We first visited the school when these two were starting to kindergarten and first grade. It is amazing what they learned! In first grade they learned how to diagram sentences! They studied Latin starting in third grade. In elementary school they memorized heaps of facts using jingles and songs. In the middle years they learn to use these facts and in the last stage they learn to take ideas and establish or defend them. The classes are small and the teachers are excellent. I believe that my grandchildren are prepared for the next stage of their life through the diligent work of the educators at Geneva Classical Academy.

This school has provided my son a safe and loving environment. My son has been there for 5 years and we love the support he gets. The teacher are very loving and he learns so much!! My son is happy and loves school. The Montessori curriculum at Mi Escuela Montessori has been the perfect one for my son. He also can read Spanish now.
