Crystal Lake Elementary School

my 3 years son was bullying victim and the teachers never called me, my child has autism and every day came home bite for other student.

This school uses effective teqniques of teaching not only academics, but useful life skills. You really get a feel for the community environment here at South Mckeel. The staff is incredible, caring, and involved in its student's academic, and personal lives. We wildcats are constantly growing, learning, and achieving great things. Due to the staff, and opportunities presented to us, we are able to expand our fields of knowledge, and so much more. As students, we are always being encouraged to be our best selves. I've absolutely loved my many years at South Mckeel.

This school is not what it used to be like. It was great the worst thing they ever did was hire Terri Smith as the lower school principal. Does doesn’t believe that children that have ADHD belong in private schools. She doesn’t understand basic child development. Like understanding that some children learn skills at different rates. The teachers do not watch the children on the playground. I once picked my child up early from school and the teacher yelled at my child for leaving early while I was standing off to the side. If your child is bullied don’t expect Terri Smith to keep a record of it! The teachers are not trained in child development.

Watched bus number 2797 on the morning of 8/14/2026 at 6:55am almost rear end a vehicle AND even continuously honk at them because they were in a HighSchool school zone going the posted speed limit. The man driving 2797 then proceeded to go 45mph+ down a 30mph residential road. THE BUS WAS LOADED WITH STUDENTS ALREADY. This school clearly does not take children safety serious or this would’ve never happened
