Read what parents are saying about Sigsbee Charter SchoolExcellent School, my 2 girls are very excited every morning to go to school. Great communication from teachers, follow up and responsiveness.
Posted by a parent on 8/23/2023I've noticed this school has some problems that need to be addressed. The teachers and the after-school care supervisors have little-to-no authority, so they can not tell anyone "no", even if there is inappropriate behavior going on. Young children are subject to inappropriate behavior from older children because immediate intervention is not allowed by teachers or supervisors. The bathrooms are all ages, with an older kid able to use the bathroom at the same time as a kindergartener with no adult chaperones allowed. I would be very careful and think twice before enrolling your child (especially younger, innocent children) in this school.

Posted by a parent on 9/8/2022The teachers and staff are excellent however communication from the school is the worst I have ever experienced!!! I say this because all the teachers and school staff use a system called Jupiter for all emails & communications. It is blog based and is blocked by military (Navy & JIATFS) networks. Normally I would not complain about this BUT since this school is located on a military base it shows that the school does not understand its customers needs. Since Sigsbee doesn't send home paper copies of communications (permission forms, flyers, etc), parents like myself can't access any of the school communications resulting in my son missing events and school trips. Honestly, if I could figure out what the heck is going on at the school and gets some preliminary notice of upcoming events my review would be Great. But right now, 6mo into the year, the overall experience has been terrible!
Posted by a parent on 11/16/2016My daughter has attended Sigsbee school for some time it took there about two years of me telling them that there is something wrong to finally test her for IEP plan. Now that she has it, it's not being implemented. So it's like closed circle. There isn't much support from teachers at all. I would avoid this school.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this school and my experience was not as bad as my little brother. I was bullied by the other students sometimes when the teachers SHOULD have saw it and was often confused by the messy learning system. However for my little brother not only has he been bullied by students but by a teacher as well A GROWN ADULT would mock him and yell at him for every little thing he has done despite him being a child and the worst part is when he'd try to talk to the office people they would NEVER listen to his side of the story even the one person I had a good terms with when I used to go there would tell him to shut up every time he'd try to talk to him who would then send him home causing his grades to drop. I sense discrimination but it could be them just being lazy at their job regardless of if they can't even LISTEN to a child when they try to speak for themselves, they should not have this job in the first place.Other Review9mo ago - Poinciana Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagegood school.one thing that can be done away with is the rude wanna-be officer who harasses older people picking up their children and grandkids and putting the students in danger worried more about the fire lane situation...i am very pleased that there is a kwpd officer at the school full-time who engages with the teachers and parents and uses common sense when situations arise....the wanna-be officer uses "selective enforcement" of her own and i feel she is not needed in that she serves no purpose whatsoever at the schoolOther Review5y ago - Gerald Adams Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePlease don't listen to the negative reviews, my daughter has been at this school for 3 years now and it has been the most positive experience. The learning curriculum is geared to set your child up for success and the principal and staff are the most kind and compassionate leaders and teachers a child (and parent) could ask for. I love that faith is the foundation of their teaching principles and my child has thrived in their care.Parent Review1mo ago - Montessori Children's School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat a safe, welcoming and engaging place! Montessori Children's School gave my kids a great foundation. They are self-directed, respectful and empathetic individuals. It's a whole-child education. I continue to be surprised at what they learned about their world at MCS.Parent Review1y ago - The Basilica School
