Read what parents are saying about Sunray Elementary SchoolThe teachers are wonderful. They work well with all the kiddos and go above and beyond to make sure they have what they need to grow and learn at their individual pace. The building is well kept and clean. My kids love their classroom and teachers!
Posted by a parent on 7/19/2022My son, daughter and our family have been part of this school for the last 5 years. I have seen nothing but high level teaching, administrating, leading by example and a great tone set by the Principal and her staff. My children have been very happy with all the teachers they have had and It would take forever to explain but it has been all of them. I want to take this moment to thank all of them for making my children's school years a happy positive rewarding experience. I also have been able to communicate and build a bond with all the teachers in the school for the benefit of seeing our children become successful and graduate to the next level. We also believe that the success of our children has to start at home first with us giving them the proper foundation to start their education.I support this school 100% and I know that they will continue to excel to be one of if not the best elementary school in the area.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school!! The only negative issue that I can comment on is their lack of communication. Have been many times where my son did not to get the correct paper sent to his classroom. Or we were told about an event a day or two before it was to happen. And I know it wasn’t just because my son didn’t relay the information to me other parents have a very similar experience. But besides that the school is great! Couldn’t ask for better teachers faculty and staff!Parent Review6y ago - James M. Marlowe Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was apprehensive about my son starting school there because people talk of course so I wrote to the superintendent to see if my son could go to the other school because our street was the boundary between the 2 and he set up a meeting with the principal to answer any questions I had. That was in 2018 and I'm so happy that I did. He had Ms. Wainwright as another mom mentioned above she is amazing! My son needed extra help so she would have students stay after school to help them every single day. She is the best teacher I ever encountered through all my kids achools. My youngest has now been there from K-2 this year and every teacher she has had has been so sweet and u can tell they love what they do. I would recommend this school to anybody!Parent Review1y ago - Gulf Trace Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is very unorganized and unsafe. During covid there has been a few cases that people were exposed too and no one could give parents any information on when the children were possible exposed and how to handle the issue. The car circle is a joke during pick up and drop off there are people who cut the line and no one addresses it and just allows it to happen. People get picked on constantly and my niece has come home very upset thinking she is fat because of the bullying in the class and on the bus. She is hurting herself by not eating becauSe she doesn’t want people to think she’s fat this school needs to find a new principle because the one they have is very bad about addressing a lot of the issues going on!Parent Review3y ago - Elfers Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t send your kid to school here. Principal Robertson is awful as an administrator. Our kid was pinned down on the playground by another kid in KINDERGARTEN, but his mom is a staff member. We weren’t called until the end of the day at pick up line. It was mentioned in passing. They sent the other kid BACK to class in garden gloves. They told me they “told him to go to the bathroom and wash his face. We were able to get him calmed enough to go to class.” We never received an incident report- to date (this was last year). My husband also witnessed principal Robertson physically lift a 10/11 year old girl and force her into the school while she was begging him to call her mom. When he confronted Robertson about this, he provided a story of a young boy who he did this to and how thankful his parents are that he did. I guess this happens frequently enough for there to be multiple children that are lifted like cattle into the school building. Our teacher was planning on leaving in December. There was no real plan. We looked at transferring at that time, but chose not to. The same kid who had ours pinned on the playground knocked our sons yogurt in his lap during lunch. No one noticed. Our 6 year old didn’t tell anyone out of “fear of tattling” and he was “trying to give another chance.” When we asked the principal to keep a closer eye on the child, he came back with “it wasn’t on purpose.” What? At this point we decided to look at other schools. The school we looked into at the beginning of the year said they still had an open spot. We pursued that, only to be told that they don’t have a spot after they reached out to Elfers. The teacher was completely untruthful in the referral- proven my monthly good conduct awards. Said we were uninvolved- we donated money to the school, attended every single school and church event, and was absolutely supportive of the teacher and schoolRetaliating against a 6 year old is disgusting and so so so so so not Christian.I hope the church takes a good hard look at this situation, because it’s a bad representation of what a Christian is.Parent Review5mo ago - World Of Knowledge: A Montessori School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been with World Of Knowledge 3 great years now. I have watched my children grow from shy, temperament and not having a voice. To outgoing, blossoming and helpful caring little people. From my son's speech insecurities to my daughter passing a grade. World of Knowledge has become family and a great big part in our journey of growth. The support, great friendships and love we have received through the years has been priceless. Let alone the environment of independence for the children and confidence building. Learning for the children has been an awesome blessing and what an amazing staff. Thank you World of Knowledge for being here for my children along their journey!!Parent Review3y ago - Shepherd's Christian Academy
