Gulfside Elementary School

We love Sunray Elementary School and all that they offer to our community.

My son went here for 3 years. The first two years, the school was manageable, but this year it was beyond awful. My son was in second grade, and kept coming home saying he was being bullied. Coach D told my son to stop being a Tattle Tail. Who says that? The communication is terrible, my son behavior got worse due to the lack of adult supervision to the students. When bought up, it was shrugged off. Now my son deals with depression. This school used to be great, but it really has gone downhil

Don’t be discouraged by reviews of disgruntled children that leave their colorful review. We had two children go through all 3 schools in this area each one was fantastic. Safety was #1 and School Resource officers are always on guard. Teachers are community involved and fantastic instructors. All with walking distance from our home. So attending school functions was a quick walk be it Friday night games, school carnival or a band concert you don’t miss anything.Great schools fantastic community

I witnessed the resource officer who is also a tarpon police officer verbally assault a young child when he didnt know i was sitting in the lobby. 3 women staff did nothing to stop this abuse and the principal only stepped in when she was told a parent was in the lobby. A report was made to the officers supervisor who informed me he will be speaking to the officer about his behavior. The officer told a child who was begging to go home that you're going somewhere but not home at the top of his lungs , dragged him by the arm into the office and continied to scream in his face . It was 7 minutes or torture for thie young boy. If this is how the staff and principal protect and care for these kids thats horrible !!! Do better !

My children have gone to excellent schools in the past with excellent teachers willing to help when help is needed and communicating issues that arise in a timely fashion. I am disappointed with this school and have had issues with communication or the lack of, bullying and the indifference with respect to it, and the failure of guidance for a student failing in a course. I have never experienced such inattentiveness in a school in over 60 years and can say this is the worst.

We have been with World Of Knowledge 3 great years now. I have watched my children grow from shy, temperament and not having a voice. To outgoing, blossoming and helpful caring little people. From my son's speech insecurities to my daughter passing a grade. World of Knowledge has become family and a great big part in our journey of growth. The support, great friendships and love we have received through the years has been priceless. Let alone the environment of independence for the children and confidence building. Learning for the children has been an awesome blessing and what an amazing staff. Thank you World of Knowledge for being here for my children along their journey!!
