Cutler Ridge Elementary School

It is a school with good educators who are very organized and kind.

mala escuela aléjate porque los maestros y el personal

Our experience at Cutler Ridge Christian Academy was very disappointing. During enrollment, we were transparent about our child’s behavioral challenges and the support already in place. At home, we maintain a very structured environment with clear expectations and consistent discipline, so this was not due to a lack of involvement or structure on our part.Despite this, the decision to expel our child came at the end of the semester. Our biggest concern is the lack of early and clear communication. If we had been informed at the beginning of the semester or even within the first month, we would have worked immediately with the school to address any concerns and take corrective steps. Instead, we felt the situation was not communicated to us in a timely manner, and we were left with very little time to respond or make alternative arrangements.Because of this delay, the impact on our child was significant. While attending, we noticed a decline in confidence and increased anxiety. As parents, this was very difficult to experience, especially while also feeling that concerns like bullying were not adequately addressed and that we were not fully supported or heard throughout the process.Communication with the administrative and financial office was also extremely frustrating. It often took repeated phone calls and emails over weeks or even months to receive basic documents such as receipts, reports, and permissions. This lack of responsiveness added unnecessary stress during an already difficult situation.Academically, we did not see the progress we had expected. In previous schools, we observed consistent learning and growth, while here we did not see the same level of advancement. We understand that schools have rules and expectations, but we expected more communication, compassion, and collaboration, especially given our transparency during enrollment. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this school to other families.

Parents pls stay away from registering your kids in HRSR. Tuition is not the cheapest and they still charge you for everything else. Pizza parties $6 per student, casual dress day $5, in school field trips(yes in school) $10. Mind you with all the tuitions, grants HRSR gets is still not enough to renovate any bathrooms, auditorium/ etc they are still as they were is the 70’s when the school was built. They love to mark you tardy if 1 minute late but make you wait sometimes up to 20-30 minutes after pick up time to get your kids. Events get cancelled rescheduled then cancelled again over and over it’s a disaster. Security is good and teachers are nice. But it does not justify paying for everything as a parent.
