Riviera Schools

My kid is in first grade. He is thriving in the Spanish gifted program. He loves it, and we have seen so much growth academically and socially. We have found a nice community. Homework load is often a question parents have. In my experience, it can vary somewhat by teacher, but even more by the child- some kids simply take longer than others to complete the same work. I personally haven't found the workload overwhelming . it has felt manageable and appropiate.

To me, La Scuola is absolutely the best school! Amazing, nature-immersed campus, with a caring and attentive staff. Children have hands on experiences with real art materials, pottery, gardening, yoga etc... my 3 year old son comes home with his clothes "dirty" everyday and I love it, because I know he had a blast. Teacher sends daily journals with pics and info about the day. I also love that they're a sugar-free school and focus on healthy eating (you can take your own lunch or buy the lunch they provide, which is REAL food, not junk food). The whole school environment and community is very welcoming and respectful, including other parents and children. They hold regular communal events, like Friendsgiving Potluck, that reinforce that feeling. Only con: communication (from the school administration, not the teachers) is not the best and they seem a bit disorganized sometimes. But what can I say, no school is perfect. All I know is that my son never wants to come home when I arrive to pick him up and complains on Saturdays and Sundays because school is closed. That's priceless!

This school is literally the best of the best in all south Miami I highly recommend it for kids of all ages from PreK to 8th grade it is such an amazing school.

This school lacks a lot since it’s a private school Communication from front office to security, the tone and the attitude very rude and disrespectful. . Communication lacks big time and administration do not follow through with issues that arise Favoritism plays a big role . Finally the lunch area for the kids is just miserable and the food is horrible…looks like prison food even the way it’s served. I know there is no perfect school but they could really work on improving because it’s not free.
