Read what parents are saying about Schmidt Elementary SchoolI have a child that currently attends the school. Overall the school is great. If you are basing it on the teachers who do a wonderful job. However the Principal Janet Kelly is awful and I'm excited to hear that she will be retiring soon. Her communication skills are horrible. Hopefully the school will get a new Principal that will actually do their job.

Posted by a parent on 8/17/2019Horrible!!!! La peor en educación que allá visto en mi vida, las maestras siempre faltan y todo el año pasan de suplente en suplente , se van los viernes y regresan el Martes en su mayoría .
Posted by a parent on 5/31/2019Rules are fair to all students. Modern Playground equipment always lists manufactor height/& age requirements. In this sue hapy society a School can not afford to break rules.Be happy this school still has recess as dozens of Florida schools do not due to pressure of testing scores.
Posted by a community member on 8/1/2016This was the worst experience I have had with a Hillsborough County Public School. They think they can make their own policies and they think it's ok to discriminate and bully the children just because they can. Parents need to talk to their kids and make sure their kids aren't being picked on.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA runny nose is a bigger concern to the school than educating your child. If your child has the sniffles, a runny nose, or "red watery eyes" during allergy season, be prepared to leave work early in order to pick them up. And while you're on your way to get them, the staff will tell your child that you're a bad person/parent and endangered everyone by sending them to school with mild allergy symptoms. When we first moved into the area the school was 9/10. Now it's a 5/10. A few more years and it will be a 1 or a 2. Either stay away or get your kids allergy shots so they can stay at school and actually learn some things.Parent Review2y ago - Mango Elementary School

He is entering the 4th grade and I can't wait to see what this teacher has in store for my son and his parents.Parent Review5y ago - Seffner Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI sincerely and highly appreciate the teachers who have worked hard to help my child, but feel the overall policies at the school don’t address the special needs of high functioning autism. It’s like he falls through the cracks because he’s “too normal” for special needs classes, but “too different” for general Ed classes, and it’s frustrating.Parent Review4y ago - New Hope Early Learning

Their rules are clearly laid out and any personal issues that arise are almost always from the parents. Dress code is gender neutral meaning all kids pretty much wear the same basic uniforms. The idea is that nothing is distracting from learning. If your kid could be viewed as a distraction, look so where else.In terms of ideology BA doesn't put social influence on learning. They teach in ways which I learned 30 years ago which is to the point without filler. They focus on all children knowing rather than memorization skills. On top of all this, the school is one of the most ethically diverse businesses I have ever seen. This makes BA a true leader and a place worth enrolling your child!!!Parent Review1y ago
