Principal refuses to make reasonable accommodation for my daughter with a disability. It’s ridiculous and honestly disgusting. They need to be forced to do trainings and ADA in this school.

My child has had a positive academic experience at Sandpiper Shores Elementary School and the teachers and school environment have been good overall.However, the aftercare billing policy is extremely frustrating and, in my opinion, unfair to working parents. There appears to be little to no grace period for pickup, and billing begins very quickly — sometimes within minutes. It can also take additional time for staff to bring your child out after arrival.The aftercare program is already expensive, so the added charges feel excessive. I hope the school considers implementing at least a 15-minute grace period for families dealing with traffic or pickup delays.Aside from the aftercare concerns, the school itself has been a positive experience.

Three of my children have attended this school. They have received a vastly superior education to the one I got at another school locally. I can tell by the conversations they have with me about their studies and the fact that much of what I learned at university, they have learned buy 10th grade. There are a variety of ways to access college-level courses. There are some teachers who have been better than others, but there have been none whom I have any reason to think are not capable or not acceptable for any reason. We had a bad experience with one of the sports programs a few years ago. But that is far from a deal-breaker. I actually think the school dealt with the situation, but I'm not sure. My son was injured by another student on campus last year. When I talked to the school about the incident, I feel that the assistant principle handled it in the best possible way. My kids are not special-needs. They are mixed-race. I see that great-schools has this school listed as a 5 of 10 stars. I do not completely understand how that computation is calculated, but I can't imagine a public school being much better than this one. Our family being zoned for this high school has been such a tremendous advantage for my family.

This review is based in my personal experience. This school gets the good scores thanks to the parents who in their majority support the kids learning, many even pay tutors for the kids to excel and get good grades in the gifted program along with the work of the good teachers who provide a healthy environment for the kids to learn. The principal in turn is always pushing up sending emails through the teachers. The school has a few very good teachers who are a bless for their students and it also has some bad teachers that can be a real nightmare for the kids and families. They have one particular teacher who was very mean and verbally abusive, she psychologically abused my kid for 3 months and I had to do all in my power to get my kid removed to another classroom. The school did not do anything to correct that teacher and it’s my understanding she is still there, so be aware. The bathrooms that the kids use are always in need of toilet papers so if your kid has to do #2 there is nothing to clean their butts. The ladies at the front office are all nice and respectful. The school love to collect money from the parents so they have lots of activities through out the school year to get the money. They say it’s voluntary but they do pressure the kids to make their parents do the donations. In four years that my kid was in this school we had 3 different principals so make your own conclusion.

I’ve had a very negative experience with Boca Prep and would not recommend this school to any parent. The administration and staff are extremely unprofessional. The superintendent does not take accountability when she’s wrong and chooses to ignore concerns rather than address them. Teachers have lied about students, including my own 3-year-old, which was very troubling and unacceptable.Since my son started at this school, I’ve faced constant problems. The financial department clearly cares more about collecting money than about the students. I was supposed to be reimbursed for a payment, but despite ongoing communication, they never followed through. Instead, they took the amount directly from my security deposit. When I called to discuss this, the financial department representative yelled at me and hung up on me, which was extremely unprofessional.On top of the financial issues, my son did not learn anything meaningful while attending. The quality of teaching is poor, and I was not the only parent who felt this way. Other parents expressed the same concerns about the lack of learning and the unprofessional behavior of the staff and superintendent. In fact, one superintendent left and the other was fired due to issues with students and parents.Most of us ended up moving our kids to other schools because Boca Prep was not providing the education or environment our children deserved. This school is not beneficial for children, and parents should beware before enrolling their kids here. It’s so bad the turn Google reviews off.
