We have all of our kids at Horace Mann the last four years. It is exceptional and on par/better than most elite private schools in the area. Truly great!

We moved back from Europe specifically so our children could attend Eaton Elementary.The recent renovations have created a beautiful, modern learning environment, but what truly makes Eaton outstanding is the people. The teachers are skilled, caring educators who know each child as an individual. The staff are warm and competent, creating a supportive atmosphere throughout the building. The afterschool program is well run and very convenient.The parent community is equally impressive. Families are engaged and supportive, and the HSA goes above and beyond to enrich the school experience through their dedication and hard work.Our children are thriving here in every way—academically, socially, and emotionally. Eaton is everything we hoped for in an elementary school and more. We couldn't recommend it more highly.

We are leaving Janney and a large number of families of children above grade 2 are, as well. Principal Danielle Singh has created a culture of no accountability, including allowing an abusive teacher to continue teaching after three years of bad behavior (including refusing to allow students to receive accommodations and services as required by law). Staff and families find her non-responsive, afraid of conflict to the point of inaction, and focused only on optics and her own personal goals. Several of our best teachers are leaving or planning to leave, as well. Families who have younger children at Janney as well as older children who went to Janney before the principal changed speak regularly to how different it is now under Singh. The community and PTA are wonderful, and lower grade teachers are generally better regarded than upper grade teachers. Special education students, in particular, are considered a burden and the staff routinely pass the buck when working with them.

It could be a good school however it is not. Parents are able to come on the school grounds and discipline students that are not their own students. There is limited diversity and plenty of unfairness and inequity here. Some teachers hold back students recommendations for months on at a time. Some students are able to get away with things. Some voices are heard while other voices are ignored. There is fairness at this school. There is plenty of inequality at this school.

In my honest opinion, based on my experience and hearing about other teachers at this school, I can say that the teachers don't seem friendly or welcoming at all because of the lying, mistreatment, and unethical ways of treating my family. Initially, I thought this school was great, but after knowing the situations that have previously happened with my children, I can say do not send your child here!
