I had 4 children that have attended Burr. Due to a job transfer we have relocated and I'm so sad my children are no longer attending. The faculty is amazing, they are caring compassionate people who want to see the children succeed.

I could not disagree more with the first two reviews. This school has been amazing, and both myself and the whole neighborhood loves it here. The arts and music programs are phenomenal, the teachers are caring and get the kids to enjoy school and respect their peers and teachers. PTO is well-organiz

My child attended second grade at this school.We feel it was a wasted year--their english and reading program is ridiculous,the children come out more confused than when they went in. The teacher was horrible at being an "educator." Her lessons and notes etc. were wrought with misspellings, she mark

I strongly believe this is an above average school. Of course, like any high school, it has its issues but overall the teachers want to support you and the administration is there to help you. You will succeed at this school and beyond if you put in the effort. AP and honors classes are rigorous and taught by excellent teachers. At those levels homework is a lot, but doable if you are dedicated. There are great opportunities for leadership, community service, extracurriculars, clubs, athletics, etc. The music department is fantastic, as is track and field and cross country. I'm glad for the time I spent at this school.
