Unfortunately, it's the only option in our town, so we’re stuck. The bullying policy here is ineffective; despite being in place, bullying is rampant, and the administration seems either unaware or indifferent to the problem. It’s almost as if sympathy is given to the bully, while the actual victim

Bottom line is that this school has become unsafe. There are some skilled and well intentioned teacher but kids of all grade levels face violence and bullying that go without meaningful consequences.

There is a reason why this school scores low, good parents get dcf referrals while parents who don’t even send their kiddos to school get overlooked.

I found that Joel School teachers put in the extra effort to insure that their students are well prepared for the next grade level. I'm quite impressed by their work!

My experience at this school with my son with ADHD and ASD has been a nightmare! Instead of working with the parents and having and open line of communication when and issue arises, they call DCF for very minor things, effectively turning your world upside down for six months to a year. They would r
