My kid is in 5th grade this year at Linton and we have loved it.

My first grader has been going to Linton for three years (including preschool) and is excelling. She, as a toddler, was behind on her verbal schools to a degree that qualified for federal early intervention. Now she is multiple grade levels above expected reading level. Not all of this is the school but no doubt she is thriving at Linton. All of the teachers seem to really care. Ms. Stolte is very involved with the extracurricular activities (her most forward facing role) including plays, family nights, etc... All the kids in my child's classes have been great. I haven't heard any complaints from my child. And you'll find a much more diverse student body than many elementary schools around. Does the PTO have the huge budget as other schools in the district, no. It's a Title school. So if you want your kid to have the absolute highest funded Christmas party then maybe Linton isn't for you. So glad we didn't school choice out of Linton, which we did have a thought of doing at first. My child now knows many neighbors and we really feel a part of the Foxstone English Ranch neighborhood. It's so great that when she goes trick or treating or to the local part that she'll see her friends. You can't measure how beneficial that is. Go Linton Lions!

This school has gone drastically downhill over the years. The principal is checked out, she's just showing up and putting zero effort into events, the school and the students. She will participate in one semi fun event and make sure she posts it online so it looks like she is engaged but really isnt. Most of the teachers are just biding their time until retirement and getting by. The school is run down and very dirty and they only are focused on getting money for being a title one school, which means poor. A lot of the students in the neighborhood are choosing school of choice to just get out of this garbage school.

Linton is a wonderful environment and "the best kept secret in Fort Collins". I have one child who is accelerated and another who is just getting her confidence in learning. BOTH are flourishing at this school. Linton has dedicated resources to all levels and abilities and treats each individual with love and respect. They use positive behavior intervention supports (PBIS) to encourage and model positive behaviors and citizenship. The principal knows every child and treats them as her own.

Linton does great things for ALL students. They have differentiated instruction in core subjects, and additional literacy support and enrichment through FLUDD. They also pre and post test on all math units so that each student gets instruction at their level in math as well. They have a great ELA program for students who are learning english as a second language. Linton is involved in the community, providing many resources for students and families. The teachers care about each child and work long hours to make sure that their students' needs are met.
