Responsive Arts & STEAM Academy FNE

unfortunately this was my son's 1st time with the district. He was more than excited especially because he got to walk to school. The problematic children are patted on the back well the children wrongfully accused are blamed. Teachers back talking children... ever wonder why they go home back talking us?.. Well in class they will tell the kids how horrible they are, telling them to shut up, and will proceed to tell them how they hope they fail in life ... Its real sad coming from the same district I too went too & feeling real disappointed that our kids are mistreated. The staff including principal mishandle situations that should have the parents attention immediately but yet wait till end of day once again attempting to tell you your child is an issue when the issue came from the problematic child. The teachers remind the student(s) they aren't going to make it, & take away whats most important to them especially end of year ( field day, & continuation). Certain teachers will treat a child for some odd reason different/ outcasted/ forgotten. I thought the teachers took an oath like medical staff do.."take of care of them, treat them like they are yours".... is it hard to remember some of these kids use school as a gate way out to freedom.... real sad...

Why would a director consistently ghost another adult for no reason? If you run a school, you should respond to emails. This director has ghosted me multiple times. Also, my experience working here was not pleasant. Maybe it's time for the school board to shut this one down.

Love this school. The principal from day one has been extremely supportive, approachable and has interacted with our kiddo by getting down on his level and speaking to him and engaging with him directly. We have a kindergartner and all the big and little things she did made us and him feel very welcomed. We moved to this state in hopes of having a better education experience for our kids than what we were getting in the south and we have 100000% felt this was the right choice and school. The teachers are amazing and have taken time to even do check is with me at pick up to tell us how our kiddo is progressing and have provided suggestions on items we can improve on when asked or when needed. They genuinely appear to be interested in both his emotional and educational growth, support and needs. We wouldn't ask for a more supportive team to start our school journey.
