My oldest daugher attended Centennial before going to Monterey and she hated Centennial so naturally as a parent I was nervous when I registered her at Monterey, would she like it? would she feel comfortable with her new teacher? would she actually learn
Posted by a parent on 1/9/2014My son attended Monterey for two years and we really liked the school. He had great teachers and the principal was wonderful. You could tell that he cared about the students and the school and was working to make the school a better place.

She taught him so much over the year that I am very surprised at what they teach in Kindergarden now a days. We unfortunately had to move from the area but I hope that our next school is the same. Posted by a parent on 6/10/2012this school is unsafe for our children they cant keep track of them to get to where they need to be my seven year old daughter was brought home to us by police as i was seaching the neighborhood for her because her teacher couldnt make sure her fifteen students make it to the busses or there parents

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom the moment, my child started kindergarten the front office. Staff has displayed a tremendous amount of incompetency. This is my child’s third year here and I still have to deal with providing the front office with multiple copies of doctors note shot records, etc.. It’s getting pretty old. Bullying as a factor negligence is a factor from staff and overall focused on the protection of the schools, name and background rather than the safety and well-being of the students. Things that were brought to the school were ignored. Higher powers were not updated as they should have been an overall accountability was never taken as it should have been. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWent there from 1st grade to 5th grade I have good memories there but they don’t do much if you get bullied. Something inappropriate happened to me there and we told a teacher and they just confronted the student and just let him go without him having to do much.
