Bricker Elementary School

From the moment, my child started kindergarten the front office. Staff has displayed a tremendous amount of incompetency. This is my child’s third year here and I still have to deal with providing the front office with multiple copies of doctors note shot records, etc.. It’s getting pretty old. We will get a good teacher and then a few months and the teacher will transfer to a different school. Not very consistent not very professional.

Went there from 1st grade to 5th grade I have good memories there but they don’t do much if you get bullied. Something inappropriate happened to me there and we told a teacher and they just confronted the student and just let him go without him having to do much. Same goes for the bullying.

The class sizes are extremely crowed and it is difficult for a child that is "Normal" to get the help they may need. Teacher's spend all their time and energy with all the "troubled kids" bad behaviors, and IEP's that if your child doesn't have these issues they get ignored. Over crowded classroom, constant behavior issues, constant bullying, zero emotional wellbeing support. Way to much screen time, not enough classroom control. They do Not do their jobs as maditory reports and ignore children's cries for help. The other children are violent and out of control and do not get disciplined for their horrific behavior. You ask a teach to move your child away from a violent student and all she does is turn the desk a different direction instead of moving your student to a safer place in the classroom away from the bully. When a child is having a bad day the teacher tell the student, "if you want to have a bad life, that is your choice, it has nothing to do with me." Pick up and drop off are an absolute Nightmare. Complete chaos! 750+ children, parents and cars everywhere. No waterfall release or drop off, no drive line, just a mass exodus with people, children and cars everywhere. Extremely unsafe release at the end of the day. The ridiculous late start school schedule keeps parents from ever being able to get a full 8 hour work day in. Every Monday they don't even start school until 10am. Keeping over 750+ parents from having the ability to start work until 10:30 am every week. You either have to be extremely poor so you can get State Paid before and after school care. Or make a lot of money so you can afford their extremely overpriced before and after school care. If you are neither rich or poor and you are in the middle you are completely screwed because you can't afford it. So you are constantly missing work to accommodate their ridiculous school hours. My daughter comes home crying on a regular basis because she absolute hates the school. She says, "the teacher and children are mean, the teacher doesn't listen to anything she says, helps all the other kids and not her," she feels isolated, outcast, and doesn't fit in."

This is the best school I ever went to. I went here from 1st-12th grade. I felt safe here and loved. Honestly I really struggled with learning but I was supported, and they encouraged me. I don't think I had the best education, but what truly matters is I have a love for God. I can read, write, and do some simple math and that will help me get in this world, but what else will help me in this world is Jesus. This school is better than any public school, Charter school ect. If I went to any other school I would have been pushed through the system and probably wouldn't have gotten a diploma to top that I might not be living for Jesus like I am trying to do today. I never enjoyed really learning. Honestly the time I enjoyed learning was in 2nd grade, Bible class, finance in 12th grade l, and Abeka learning I did 11-12th grade in all subjects. Honestly never enjoyed learning with doing Ignita. We read and answered questions on the computer all day. I do better learning more hands on. Overall this is the best school EVER. I had the best teachers they all cared and pushed me to do my best and I am so ever thankful for the people who were in my life. They love and care about every student and wants to see them get to Heaven. Heaven is my goal and I pray these teachers and retired teachers will be blessed beyond measure.
