Read what parents are saying about Martinez Elementary SchoolI was a student here and the teacher are not very helpful and they have there favorites the school also has some kids who do weird things I would not recommend this school
Posted by a parent on 2/22/2023My daughter is in 4th grade and has attended the school since kindergarten. We’ve had a great experience with the teachers and the staff. The teachers really care about the kids and want them to succeed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Martinez is a great school!
Posted by a parent on 12/1/2021Our family has been at Martinez for 4+ years, and we really can't say enough great things about the staff. There's a sense of community that feels welcoming to all students, and my kids feel known and valued. Top notch, caring teachers and support staff make it a place I feel great about sending my children every day. Martinez has a great Gifted and Talented program, an active PTA, and they're a Lighthouse school, meaning they teach the 7 habits of highly effective people as a part of their curriculum. They've also just implemented a first-in-the-state Dance program that the kids are thrilled about. In my experience, the teachers are very communicative and my kids have been really happy there. Highly recommend.
Posted by a parent on 9/22/2021The best! I love the staff, the teachers, the incredible education that my kids have received there.
Posted by a parent on 4/15/2019I have two girls currently attending Martinez and we have been going for three years so far. This school is a hidden little gem. I’m so pleased with the quality of teachers and staff. Mrs Long, the principal, believes family is very important. This school has great family involvement. The principal does a fantastic job instilling the Leader In Me program which builds confidence, character and gives the students values. Mr Ford, the assistant principal, has such a great rapport with the students. They all seem to really relate to his fun-loving spirit, yet he has high expectations for the students too. Both of my girls are excelling in their school work and enjoy going to school, which is an indicator that Martinez is giving them a love of learning.

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have had kids at King for 8 years now! It is a gem of a school - a real hidden treasure in D11. We have fantastic teachers, warm and inviting environment and a wonderful atmosphere for kids to thrive. We have been fortunate to go to this school for so many years- we recommend it to all!Parent Review3mo ago - Scott Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTo be fair and clear I am providing this feedback on several teachers who are teaching 3rd grade. Principal is attempting to be supportive but the school is struggling. School is understaffed. The size of my son's classroom is 27 kids and his teacher is incapable of establishing instructional control over the classroom. There are several kids in the class who are on some sort of a support plan but leave early so teacher is not required to have assistant. My son has been receiving only one page math homework for about half of his year and no other study materials besides being told to read and go over 10 spelling words. Teacher majorly failed at every aspect of communication with me and the only time she would communicate was to notify me that my son's behaviors has been progressing (without telling me a full story). We are hoping for better forth grade and better teacher but if that does not happen we plan on switching schools. The only thing that is holding me back from changing schools is my son begging me not to leave his friends.Parent Review1y ago - Freedom Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has been going to Freedom since 2021, enrolling in the Pre-K program. He spent two years in Pre-K and is now in Kindergarten. His pre-K teachers were/are amazing and his K teacher this year is also wonderful. The school’s email/text/call communication has been impressive through the front office and with each of the teachers too. The principal, Dr. Williams, is always in a classroom or spending time chatting with parents- making sure we all know about any upcoming parent involvement dates. Now that my son is in K his options for after school events or clubs has really opened up and he’s really enjoyed all the new opportunities for specialized learning/events.Teacher Review3mo ago - Rocky Mountain Montessori Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe director decided to put hands on our son in a disciplinary manner, and that is 100% unacceptable from an adult who's charged with keeping our kid safe.Parent Review4mo ago - Pikes Peak Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is not very inclusive towards more introverted or shy students. Teachers show favoritism towards certain students that are more popular. There was several events of bullying where the teachers just seemed to not care or intervene. The school isn’t great for kids with social differences or for kids that don’t fit the “popular” cliche. Teachers on several instances couldn’t calm the class down and the kids were loud/disrespectful. The teachers would be quite aggressive towards certain students doing one thing other students wouldn’t get in trouble for.Other Review3mo ago
