Being a student in aurora central ruins your mental health for a lot of reasons

I worked here and the leadership is terrible. It has a toxic work ethic. Teachers would come into my room and scream at me. There is literally zero level of professionalism in this building.

I hate this school I wish they had a complete turnover from the principle to the office staff. Worst experience was taking my kid here she was bullied for months and is still messed up from it years later because not a single adult at the school was a safe place for her at such a young age (2nd grade) and the teachers, counselor, and principle took the other child's side completely there was no middle ground or hearing us in any way. We were labeled the bad parents from the get go. My child labeled the bad kid and my family has suffered absolute hell going through it. This school made my child hate education and even the IDEA of making friends. Not a single person there cares about kids or listening to a little girl get bullied and they won't do anything. They refused to change classrooms and by the end of the year my kid was tormented so badly we said we would never come back to this school, ever. Save yourself the heartache and don't bother with this school stay far away. They employ people like the office staff that is so rude it should have been my first clue.. well. Live and learn. Posting so someone else doesn't go through the hell me and my family did with this awful school.

My experience here was horrible, the teachers there don’t care enough and I’ve been humiliated by them and most of the kids bully others who are different from them.

We love Highline. Our daughter just finished 2nd grade, and is always excited to go to school. The teachers have always been outstanding, and do an amazing job meeting students' individual needs, whether that means a little extra help or a extra challenge. Another reviewer mentioned the last principal and vice principal leaving, and I can confirm that they were replaced. The only change I've seen is less communication from the administrators, and more from the teachers, and that's not a bad thing.
