Wakefield Elementary School

Excellent. I feel great about this school, it's staff, and administration.

I have a 1st grader who has attended transitional kindergarten and kindergarten here as well, and a new kindergartener this year. So far we have had 4 teachers between the two of them and every teacher has exceeded my expectations by far. They also really encourage parent involvement, which I appreciate.My eldest son began speech therapy during TK and that combined with his great teachers has led him to be at the top of his class! I have heard there was new leadership brought in about 3-4 years ago, so our experience is with the current administration.

most of the staff at this school barley cares about mental heath at ALL. and some of the staff are really rude. one of the yard duties came into the girls restroom and waited outside of a stall for a girl to come out. that is super inappropriate and unprofessional. than alot of the yard duties get mad for us sitting down on the grass and we had to SIT OUT. also the kids at the school 2nd-5th are making inappropriate jokes. most mental heath probably does from the kids here. the principal always gets kids introuble in the most dumbest ways. also they are always rushing people to get to there classes and getting mad if u dont get there quicker than THEY want. the food there is terrible and there chicken nuggets are mostly half cooked. and they only care about what THEY and what the SUBS see and barley the teachers or staff. there this yard dutie that is crossed eyed and shes the worse. she yelled at my bestfriend for running to get her airpods before her nona gets mad for her being late. so she yelled at her and gave her a lecture and she was late to her car and got grounded. i recommend not going to this school most of every kid here always says “i HATE this school”

Turlock is very fortunate to have this school. I am very impressed with the quality of Teachers, Administrators, and Caring Staff. I would not send my kids to any other school.

My Daughter have been at Walter Brown elementary school since kindergarten. She is now in the fifth grade and I have not seen any progress in her curriculum or in her education at all to be honest her education and curriculum have went downhill. I have spoken with the teachers I have had a meeting with the vice principal to see how we can help my daughter get further in her education. Yes, she has went up on her reading, but as far as everything else I’m not understanding every time I get a report card all she has ones and twos but she is always bringing home 100% on her math work 80% on her math work but then when I get her report card it’s like whoa what happened to the hundred percent where is the grade average at? I’m not understanding and I’m kind of getting fed up so I don’t know what I’m gonna do as far as am I going to take her out of Walter Brown or am I going to leave her at Walter Brown, because this is just not acceptable kids that are struggling should get attention so they can do better not get put to the side so they can keep failing
