Read what parents are saying about Crowell Elementary SchoolExcellent. I feel great about this school, it's staff, and administration.
Posted by a parent on 8/16/2018The principal at this school allows bullying and is very bias towards the students
Posted by a parent on 3/21/2018This school is terrible at effectively dealing with bullying. They will say that they are strict but do not do as they say. Not only do most of the children at this school have attitude problems, but the teachers and other staff do as well. This school does not effectively teach their students, and they do not show any interest in doing so.
Posted by a parent on 2/23/2017My children in 3rd and 4th grade transferred to this school part way through this school year and hate it, as do I. My youngest has been bullied from day one, from being called a girl escalating into being called a f****t and finally being attacked after school. The bully even knocked out one of his teeth! The school's idea to fix this was to punish my child by forcing him to ride in the front of the bus rather than the actual bully. They said they punished the bully but he wasn't even suspended despite physically assulting my child. As far as I can tell this school doesn't care what happens to your children between the hours of 8 to 3. I know neither of children want to go to school at all anymore and desperately miis their old school. They definitely need to upgrade this school's bullying policy in my opinion.
Posted by a parent on 2/5/2014Things must have changed drastically since these last reviews. Crowell is not my idea of a good school, let alone a great school. A large number of students who attend this school could certainly benefit from a few lessons on respect and bullying. Many of the staff, including administrative, have little interest in supporting students academically or emotionally. What happened to teachers who loved their job and built actual relationships with their students? That doesn't exist here. I regret moving my children from a charter school. There they were individuals & loved school. Now, they dread going & have asked to be moved. I have seen such a change in my children's attitude towards school, they are so unhappy at Crowell.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWould never recommend this school.. terrible food my children will not eat.. rude unprofessional principles that are just in a rush to push the kids out right when bell rings and are obsessed with the pick up, line drive through. They think they are GOD when directing the drive-through pick up line it’s insane!!! The teachers are not even watching their class while they are on the playground. The teachers are too busy walking across the street to Starbucks. Terrible school!Parent Review1y ago - Osborn Two-Way Immersion Academy

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy Daughter have been at Walter Brown elementary school since kindergarten. She is now in the fifth grade and I have not seen any progress in her curriculum or in her education at all to be honest her education and curriculum have went downhill. I have spoken with the teachers I have had a meeting with the vice principal to see how we can help my daughter get further in her education. Yes, she has went up on her reading, but as far as everything else I’m not understanding every time I get a report card all she has ones and twos but she is always bringing home 100% on her math work 80% on her math work but then when I get her report card it’s like whoa what happened to the hundred percent where is the grade average at? I’m not understanding and I’m kind of getting fed up so I don’t know what I’m gonna do as far as am I going to take her out of Walter Brown or am I going to leave her at Walter Brown, because this is just not acceptable kids that are struggling should get attention so they can do better not get put to the side so they can keep failingParent Review1y ago - Dennis G.
