Santa Susana High School

This school is horrible. My kids used to be excited to go to school and now they cry and hate it. So many teachers are unsupportive and unfair and definitely pick favorites. Some of the yard supervisors are incredibly rude and clearly on a power trip. I have heard from other parents and kids as well who feel the adults at this school are bullies. Children should go to school feeling safe, supported and welcome. Do better!

My son and I love this school. Everyone is so supportive and amazing. They really take the time to get to know each student and ensure their success, safety, and emotional wellbeing.

This school was amazing!! I went here until 5th grade and I loved it! Such amazing staff and their scores are great! Would recommend!!

It is an OK school, but the teachers we had didn’t seem to motivate our student.

I am deeply concerned about how a sexual harassment incident involving my son, was handled at Santa Susana Elementary. Despite reporting inappropriate physical contact, the school took minimal action, leaving my son feeling unsafe and unsupported. There was a lack of communication with me, no follow-up to ensure his safety, and no academic feedback provided. My son was so terrified he requested to leave the school. This experience highlights a critical failure in addressing student safety and emotional well-being. Immediate action is needed to prevent this from happening again.

My child loves going to school everyday. He has really grown academically and feels like he is part of the school community. He has so many friends and has learned about inclusion through building friendships with others that may have a different way of learning. His teachers are always supportive and encouraging personal growth.

Watch out! There are a number of wonderful teachers here but also a few old school teachers that use shame and punishments as motivation. The Principal always backs the teacher. She plays favorites among the parents, students and staff. I regret sending my kids here. If you get one of the great teachers and your child doesn't need any additional support, you should be fine. If not, make sure you know your parental rights and good luck.

Great school, one of the best elementary schools in town. Great and friendly teachers, high expectations, and a lot of homework.
