Posted by a parent on 3/20/2024I love the school for the time I was there until one day I was coming home from school all happy to go eat my food and then I get a text from my friend that she had just been injured and I seen a video of her getting attacked by another student this is not the first time this is happened to one my friends At Hillside. I feel very unsafe. I feel like there’s someone coming to get me while I’m walking. I feel scared they do not do a good job of keeping their students safe other than that’s good.
Posted by a student on 11/27/2023I have had two kids go through Hillside and both had a fantastic experience. The teachers are hardworking and dedicated. The administration is attentive and helpful. As a parent, I’m extremely grateful.

Posted by a community member on 10/14/2022i was a student at HMS and the staff always treated me so horribly, my teachers treated me differently than other students because im openly gay, i spent every class crying and sleeping because i was so miserable. 1/10 never reccomend send your kid to montevista because valleyview middle school sucks too.

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principle is awful My child comes home, crying every day, saying how much she doesn’t like the principal yelling at her other than that the teachers are nice along with the yard duties but then again, the principal is really bad, and I will be pulling my child out of the school and in regards to her education, she comes home, saying that she didn’t really learn anythingParent Review5mo ago - Mountain View Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy boys go to Mountain View and we absolutely love it ! The teachers are excellent and very attentive to the children not to mention the office staff and principal. I have seen her get down on her knees to tie children’s shoes. I highly recommend this school ! Goooo Mountain View !Parent Review10mo ago - Park View Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school’s culture has declined since the new principal began running this campus in 2019-2020 school year. Kids are either mean or scared , the leader lacks conflict resolution skills, therefore bullying remains unaddressed. The energy this principal puts into enforcing drop offs with their bullhorn could be better spent implementing and following through with an anti bullying campaign. And instead of interrogating children, they should look to bringing the children together. There needs to be a serious change and it starts with this principal.Parent Review7mo ago - Sycamore Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my 8th year with kids at Sycamore. I have very mixed feelings about this school. Basically, they can be broken down as the teachers are fantastic and the administration is awful. If you are considering Sycamore and think your child needs special education services, I would recommend sending them somewhere else (because they will probably not get an IEP at Sycamore.) Also, Sycamore has a LOT of combination classes. I think I have had kids in combination classes for 4 years. This year, one of my kids is in a class with 5 other students her own grade and ~22 students a different grade. However, none of my kids have had a bad teacher - they have all been great.Parent Review6mo ago - Vista Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is a current student, she is on her 2nd year and enjoys going to school. Yes there is a lot of homework given, starting 1st grade but all the homework so far is of what was done that day. Some days we breeze through homework because she got it and other days we spend more time because she didn’t get it in class. So far staff have been accommodating when it comes to my child. The school has a very strong PTA and so there is many fun activities for the students all year long. The school is very big in parent participation but don’t make you feel back if you can participate as much as other parents.Parent Review2mo ago - Monte Vista School
