Twin Hills Charter Middle School

I am the parent of two children, one with an IEP, and one without. Apple Blossom has been an extremely supportive school, where my kids feel safe, are academically challenged, and supported to build healthy relationships. Parents are well communicated with through Parent Square, and the principal's door is always open for any further communicational needs.

After touring 4 different elementary schools in the area, the second I stepped on the Orchard View Campus, I could picture my daughter going there. The other charter and public schools had a lot to offer that all seemed great, but I particularly loved the location of the school amongst the trees and grass. The smaller school size in the classrooms, as well as teachers involved and the support for the individual needs of the student. Not to mention, the flexibility of learning styles that work for each individual student, and the personal check ins the parent and student have with the teacher weekly or every other week, whichever you prefer. Communication is clear and everything being learned or discussed is transparent. Although this was our first year starting as a Kindergartner and very new at doing a homeschool hybrid, I have loved that I feel like I am a team with the teachers and not so alone on this journey. Every staff member I've met or encountered at this school is consistently warm, smiling and calm natured. The kids at school drop off and pick up, generally seem happy to be there as well as the teachers.

Love SunRidge, the Director, teachers and staff for all of the love and care they provide in making our children better citizens of the world in this public Waldorf school. They nurture their artistic skills and adapt to their learning needs.

A devoted staff at every level. Children feel cared about and a family feeling is palpable. Beautiful, natural surroundings provide a sense of serenity and expansiveness. Highly recommend!

My child was relentlessly bullied here. He wound up getting a concussion. We never really recovered as a family.

We love Park Side! My child is thriving here, academically and socially. We love the drama program they offer as an after school club, as well as the garden class they get during the week. My child is learning so much, and loves coming to school everyday!

I am a parent and volunteer at Pleasant Hill Christian School. We are now on our third child going to PHCS. We love the school for its small size, personalized education and family atmosphere. The three teachers have been at the school for more than 20 years. Parents and teachers have a close relationship and the school thrives on family participation. It has the benefits of a private school or homeschool, but is large enough to give our kids a "school" atmosphere. Each mixed-grade classroom also allows the younger and older kids to mingle and help each other. It is able to provide special programs that the public schools cannot offer, like National History Day for the 4th-6th grades, as well as a lot of public speaking, performance and community outreach. If you don't want your child in a 30-student classroom and treated like a test-score, take a look at PHCS!
