I was able to get my son into this school via the Choice Program (we are out of district in National District) and I am more than pleased with my experience. My son went to an exceptional preschool ran by San Diego State, and the transition to regular school was definitely nerve wracking. My son was lucky enough to have Mr. Parker as his first teacher and he is exceptional. He is very honest about your child and their progress, leads his classroom with respect, and communicates promptly on Class Dojo about any questions and concerns. The school does an excellent job of sending announcements via class Dojo, and the ladies in the office are super helpful. The homework load is more than I would have expected for Kindergarten, but my son is able to complete most of it at Primetime, and I believe it’s allowed him to excel in reading, writing and math. Drop off can be a bit chaotic as there is only one stretch of curb for parents to drop off, and it results in a lot of double parking and being blocked in, but if you arrive early, or are simply letting your kid out of the car it can be navigated. I just found out my daughter got in for TK and I couldn’t be more happy.

Dr. Pham’s leadership over the past handful of difficult years has transformed Boone Elementary into a nurturing space for children to thrive. Faculty do their best to teach and mentor with the resources at hand, and while parents aren’t as engaged in this community as others I’ve seen, overall students are setup to succeed at this school.

My kiddo has gone to Pacific ViewLeadershipElementary (formerly Lee) since Prek, and he is about to graduate to Middle School. It has been great year after year. My little has always loved going to school. The new principal has made positive changes to improve the school greatly. They have a motto, to know every student by name and by need, and ALL the staff display it. The staff works hard to ensure each student is reached, and that families are involved every step of the way. Families are welcomed on campus, and invited to be a part of the environment. There are multiple events monthly to encourage parent engagement, plus field trips, committees and extra events throughout the year. The staff works to instill a community feel on campus, where everyone (students and families alike) feels safe, seen and heard. I cannot say enough good things about this school. It has been an incredible journey at PVLE. I am so thankful.

My children love this school, administration, teachers and the staff. They love specials and I am thrilled that they are being exposed to music, dance, ukulele and that the school is such a family. No school is perfect, PH has its issues such (as do all schools) but for us the good outweighs the negative. We are excited to see what is in store when the school undergoes its facelift and are looking forward to many more years at PH. I'm sorry if my review seems more like an ad we've just had multiple negative issues with other schools in the district and our experience here has been the complete opposite.

My daughter attended Kindergarten here. She loved going to school every day! The staff and students made her feel right at home and we noticed a big improvement as the year progressed on her language, numbers, and writing ability. There is a very active PTA who raised a ton of money for student activities. Principle Herrera is great. Great staff and students!!

it has after school programs it has two prime time and explore next door and there is not much kids so its not crowded
