Florin Elementary School

This school offers excellent family engagement, with dedicated teachers who genuinely care about their students. Fights rarely happen; I haven't seen a single teacher who didn't care. I still visit to volunteer and support the school, and in my honest opinion, it seems to be getting better. The only problem may be the students, but that is just a chance-based issue. Every year might be overachievers or screen-addicted children.

If your kids went to this school I don't know what to say, my brother went to this school and got bullied by the bullies. My brother has tried to reported to a teacher but she doesn't believe it. the bullies also bullied the 1st grade.

I am thrilled with my child’s experience at Samuel Kennedy Elementary. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that students truly come first. The staff is warm, supportive, and dedicated to helping each child succeed. I love the range of enrichment opportunities—AVID, STEAM, band, garden club—which keep kids engaged and excited.The school excels at providing high-quality instruction tailored to each learner, especially through programs like Student Leadership and STEAM. I also appreciate the strong support systems in place for English Learners, which has helped my child feel confident and included.Communication with teachers and administrators is seamless, and the positive school culture shines through. I couldn’t be happier about my decision—Samuel Kennedy is a place where students thrive, and families feel supported.

My child has not started here, but I really hope my child does not need to either. The staff Julianna is just so rude. She yells over the phone and asks questions over and over as if my English does not make sense. However, she is the one with an accent. I am really at the verge of just raising my voice back. Rude office assistances can ruin the school reputation. It makes parents like myself, uncomfortable and unwelcomed to even come there.

my children attended David reese and had a lot of bullying. now my granddaughter is experiencing it and it's heart breaking...wish they would in force the no bullying more I'm thinking of taking her out if it doesn't stop.

Since being placed on an IEP, my child has made noticeable progress both academically and emotionally. The IEP team worked closely with me to identify specific learning challenges and strengths, which helped tailor strategies that truly support my child’s unique needs. Through a combination of small group instruction, visual supports, regular check-ins, and sensory breaks, my child is now more engaged and confident in the classroom. The consistent structure and individualized goals have made a big difference in helping us figure out what works—especially with reading comprehension and managing focus. I truly appreciate how the school has collaborated with us to adjust the plan when needed and stay committed to my child’s growth.
