David Lubin Elementary School

My child just graduated from Merryhill (MH) this past June. They attended K through 8th grade. Enrolling at MH was, without exception, the best decision we made. From day 1, our child was supported. When he went through some emotional struggles, he met with the counselor for support. The field trips are wonderful and very enriching - he loved all of the overnights that began in 4th grade (SF Aquarium, Submarine overnight, Gold Country, Washington DC, Ashland Oregon for theater, Disneyland, and so much more). The COVID response was exceptional - providing in-person school so that the students did not fall behind. My kid is prepared for high school and excited about learning. Never did I think homework was excessive (in fact, most years, my son finished homework at school and rarely brought any home). Having homework support at school was great - especially when he needed more support in mathematics. During K-5th grade there was terrific afterschool programming and clubs - my son tried yoga, science club, chess club, various sports, and more. I encourage any parent reading this to visit the school. The campus population is very diverse, which is a huge plus for us. It made for a very enriching K-8 experience. Thank you.

Courtyard School has been amazing! It's a been around 40 years. Its a non-profit institution in Midtown Sacramento with caring staff and teachers. The school has an emphasis of social-emotional learning and enrichment. We chose it for the full day care, which means neither of us need to leave work early to take the kids somewhere for after school. My kids stay all day long and love it. Often they ask, "can we stay longer", to hang out with friends or finish up an activity. The school has several sports programs like basketball (there own indoor basketball gym!), volleyball (indoor too!), and running club. Also after school activities like art. There is a piano teacher with lessons on campus. They have a dance vendor -Jazzerettes on campus. They are bringing Mad Science in the fall. After school math, reading and spanish tutoring is also available. There's a lot going on. We have been there 6 years with our kids and we will be there in the fall. Enrollment is open! I love this school so much. I hope you do to!

Great school for families. Great attention to all the students regardless of learning level. Communication and interaction with parents is a top priority. Teachers and staff are accessible to all.

Sacred Heart is a wonderful neighborhood school with great families and dedicated teachers. The community is the draw and family engagement is second to none. Our new principal is committed to increasing academic performance and support. We are grateful for what Sacred Heart School and Parish has been for our family.
