With over 200 families who are happy and satisfied, it’s clear that this school is doing many things right.New Horizon is a warm, supportive school with dedicated teachers and staff who truly care about their students. The environment is nurturing, the academics are strong, and there is a genuine sense of community among families and educators. The school focuses on helping each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally, and that commitment shows every day.We have had a very positive experience and are grateful to be part of such a caring and well-run school.

My child did a year in the toddler program here, which was great. Her toddler teacher had a decade of experience and adored the children. Her teacher when she moved up to primary (aka preschool) was inexperienced as an educator (although clearly well trained as a Montessori guide) and had no idea what to do with a 2 year old acting like a 2 year old. The school felt very fussy and micro manage-y, and the fundraising demands were constant. We switched schools to Meher Montessori in Altadena, which has been around for over 50 years and AMI accredited for that same length of time (OKMS is more recently accredited). Now that we have been at Meher for 3 years, it makes me realize how many of the teachers at OKMS are interning as new graduates, and therefore naturally do not have the wisdom, perspective, and grace of educators who have decades of experience. Also, Meher is thousands of dollars less expensive per year and much more friendly to working parents, and much, much less fussy. I’m just sharing my experience because I wish I had known these things when I was looking for a AMI program in the area.

Pasadena Christian School has been a wonderful preschool experience for both of our daughters. The teachers are caring, attentive, and skilled at supporting both the social-emotional and early academic development of young children.We’ve seen meaningful growth in our daughters' confidence, communication, and readiness for the next stage of learning. The classroom environment is nurturing, while still providing appropriate structure and routine.Parent communication is clear and consistent, and we’ve always felt that our children are safe and well cared for. The school fosters a strong sense of community and partnership with families.We would confidently recommend this school to other parents seeking a well-rounded, supportive preschool environment.
