La Purisima Catholic School

We were so excited for our sons to learn a second language, only to realize they’re basically propped up in front of iPads and Chromebooks all day. Schools should teach computer skills, but why have schools now decided to teach ALL subjects through schools? Isn’t AI going to be doing coding in 15 years when they enter the work force? The bar seems lower than we were kids, and time is clearly being taken away from core subjects, while teachers are expected to somehow keep 30+ kids from getting distracted from the several NON EDUCATIONAL APPS on their devices during valuable class time. I know this is “normal” now, but there’s a reason why the test scores are super low at this school in particular. I wonder if or when they will ever turn back and acknowledge that giving kids iPads starting in TK isn’t working and is actually harming education.

My kids have been students here for 3 years now. All of their teachers have been amazing, great at communicating needs, working with me to help my youngest with some learning struggles and my oldest excelling beyond belief. The PTA is so kind and wonderful and we have a supportive new principal who is working hard to make our school even better.

My family has been going to school here for 3 years now and we have had a great experience so far. The school population is on the smaller size which allows the faculty to get to know you the more you interact with them. The teachers do a good job tailoring each student's progress and want each student to succeed. Each classroom so far has incorporated involvement from parents and teachers assistants which allows for more attention given to each student.The PTA is getting more involved with helping with resources which is allowing for more after school activities for all the grade levels. My family has felt the impact in the last 2 years and I know there are positive changes coming in the next year or two. Looking forward to the remaining years my children are attending this school.

My child came to this school from La Veta Elementary, I noticed such a huge difference in her. I love the constant communication with the school and the teachers! I wish I would have started her here sooner!

I am incredibly pleased with Villa Park Elementary. I have two kids here. Both are exceeding grade-level standards. Both wake up excited to go to school every day. The teachers are incredible! They have not only taught my girls well, but they make learning fun. The STEM day for 2nd grade has been a blast and the many creative projects students complete each year has really helped my daughter’s master the subject. There are also tons of opportunities to volunteer in the classroom and on campus. Lots of parents are very involved and you can see the benefit it brings to the school. I also appreciate that the principal takes concerns seriously and handles behavioral problems quickly. She is always thinking of new ways to motivate the students and I appreciate that.

It's been 2 years moved my kids to this school.. so much big difference for how much my kids learning from previous school.
