La Purisima Catholic School

We joined this school in the middle of the pandemic in 2020. My child needed additional assistance. The principle Mrs Rubio went above and beyond to help my child get comfortable in the school. The teachers my children have had have been amazing. The school is very accommodating. The student welcomed my child. I think a great school starts at the top and Mrs Rubio has created a very great school. She even won administrator of the year in 2020 and for very good reason. I can't speak highly enough of this school, the students and the Spanish immersion program. Its a new program and Im grateful they implemented it.

This school is very bad with bullying they ignore parents complaints and can't even set up a meeting to talk to the parents about what they are going to do about the situation, instead the teacher of my child rushed over during pick up blurted out a couple things and left before I couldnt get a word in she said don't worry they are to young for bullying yet my child is telling me someone is saying bad words to her and I had previously picked her up from a head injury because she was pushed during recess my child is telling me she no longer wants to go to school I was thinking the school would help but they didn't I no longer trust this school with my child . Also the cops have been at the school 2 times this school year and it's barely March they never inform the parents why yet schools in America have had incidents a lot these years I overheard during pickup a staff member talking to a police officer saying a child had brought something to school that they weren't supposed to and that it was not the first time they had done that . Why is nobody doing anything???

My family has been going to school here for 3 years now and we have had a great experience so far. The school population is on the smaller size which allows the faculty to get to know you the more you interact with them. The teachers do a good job tailoring each student's progress and want each student to succeed. Each classroom so far has incorporated involvement from parents and teachers assistants which allows for more attention given to each student.The PTA is getting more involved with helping with resources which is allowing for more after school activities for all the grade levels. My family has felt the impact in the last 2 years and I know there are positive changes coming in the next year or two. Looking forward to the remaining years my children are attending this school.

My child came to this school from La Veta Elementary, I noticed such a huge difference in her. I love the constant communication with the school and the teachers! I wish I would have started her here sooner!

I am incredibly pleased with Villa Park Elementary. I have two kids here. Both are exceeding grade-level standards. Both wake up excited to go to school every day. The teachers are incredible! They have not only taught my girls well, but they make learning fun. The STEM day for 2nd grade has been a blast and the many creative projects students complete each year has really helped my daughter’s master the subject. There are also tons of opportunities to volunteer in the classroom and on campus. Lots of parents are very involved and you can see the benefit it brings to the school. I also appreciate that the principal takes concerns seriously and handles behavioral problems quickly. She is always thinking of new ways to motivate the students and I appreciate that.

It's been 2 years moved my kids to this school.. so much big difference for how much my kids learning from previous school.
