Read what parents are saying about Orangeburg Christian SchoolMy daughter attends the preschool inside of Orangeburg Christian School. The student class size is small and personable where every teacher knows the students and the students are loved, nurtured and encouraged to play, read, and develop their cognitive, motor, and thinking skills. The teachers are career preschool teachers who love the child and are there for the children and not just to pass time and collect a pay check. My 2 1/2 year old daughter told one of her teachers ' I love you' before she told me 'I love you Mommy' It is such a comforting feeling for me to have someone there for my daughter whom my daughter loves and who loves and cares for my daughter almost as much as I do.
Posted by a parent on 3/23/2013This school is great. The staff are all very easy going and they took the time to truly get to know my son. They are always there to answer questions and seem to always be involving the parents. I am very happy we chose this school as my sons preschool. He has gained more confidence and learned so much since he started attending here a year ago.
Posted by a parent on 6/16/2011My children have both attended OCS since preschool and we all love it. My son is in his first year of high school and doing great with the foundation he gained at OCS. These teachers are truly dedicated and teaching for all the right reasons. The school has many resources available to help kids that need a little extra help and the teachers are always willing and able to spend extra time with students who need help. The average class size is 12 or less. My children feel loved and care for as individuals in this school.
Posted by a parent on 10/13/2010My daughter has been attending Orangeburg Christian for years, and my son just graduated. The school administration stonewalls any real questions about their standards or curriculum, and the teachers are nice enough, but unwilling or unable to help my daughter succeed academically. They tell me she is "slow in reading and writing", but have no plans for remediation. Her academic (cum) folder is a joke - no records, few assessments...what do they do here? Nepotism is rampant - the entire school is run by a few women and their relations. Other parents have withdrawn their children from this school and moved them for a better education.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school & the hired help DO NOT have the resources or patience to deal with children who have behavior issues. They will call you for any little small thing. Caused me to quit my job. To top it off, they called me down there to talk to my son. Next day they put a no trespassing order on me. I pulled my kids out so fast. Do not recommend this school. Please avoidParent Review11mo ago - Enslen Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate this school A 10. My daughter has struggled and excelled in certain areas. The teachers are compassionate, caring and engaging. They really take the time to help your child overcome struggles and praise them for what they are good at. There is a lot of love at this school!Parent Review3y ago - John Fremont Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToday I dropped my kids off and as I waited for cars to pass the front desk person walks by and gives me a look as she calls me a F*!ing B!*ch . I did not notice that the parking spot I was in was for staff because bit was my first time ever pulling in. I always walk my kids in but have been trying to let go a little so I dropped them off inside the property. That is the kind of staff the office has. If you are not a favorite you get ignored pushed aside ext.Parent Review4y ago - Rose Avenue Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne thing I am very happy about at this school is how much they appreciate parent involvement. While the district does make it harder and harder to be allowed on campus (livescan background checks and mandated-reporter testing are required for most volunteers), the office staff and the PTC all genuinely appreciate parent opinions and involvement, and find opportunities to volunteer for anyone who indicates a desire. PTC also works hard to raise and spend a lot of money on our kids, paying for field trips, school supplies, and activities for all students.Parent Review5y ago - Standiford Elementary School
